I haven't seen the release yet, but I'm glad a dvd scr is out, and the movie is very good. Dafoe AND Kinnear both kicked ass.

excellent quality!

I've loving all your limited releases OBUS. These flicks don't come to the local arthouse cinema till after Oscars usually!

great movie! Kinnear's performance is amazing!

the AR looks off in the jpgs...but i suppose the jpgs are misleading and it would have been nuked if it really was bad.

Posted by simson on 01-07-2003 12:39 AM:

not good. better than vcd of course but not nearly as good as the other dvd screeners. colours aren't good, picture not really stable.

its because the screenshots come from WMP which doesnt resize the SVCD's but plays them @ 480*480.

A tip: FORGET THE FUCK about LOTR ... until you see it released as a SCR ... then spout off in the right thread, this thread aint even about LOTR...

It's dumb asses like you that make me ashamed to say I like LOTR.

As for this release ( to attempt to stay on topic ) I have yet to get it, after I do, I will give my bits on the quality.

Anyone else having probs around the 10 min mark on CD1? It cuts out on a scene where he is discussing about working on TV with his wife, jumps in to a meeting with the HH's cast, jumps back to the wife scene, and jumps back to the meeting scene.....

I've had the EXACT same problem as you described. And gloomboy is right about missing intro credits. It begins abruptly with a photo of Sammy Davis Jr. And since when does a film's credits open with the Production Designer's name? We don't even get to see the title of the film. Also if you watch carefully the audio and video are out of sync. People lips move after they've spoken like a Kung-Fu movie. Either this release is fucked or I downloaded a bad copy. Don't know which. But sync is off on both CDs so I'd say it's the release.

Posted by gloomboy on 01-11-2003 05:20 PM:

Pra3t0 is right-- sync is off on my Apex. Coupled with the missing footage and I'd say skip this one-- wait for a proper. :-(

Posted by Pra3t0 on 01-13-2003 05:50 PM:

Thumbs down

You people judging the quality of this release on the JPG and sample don't realize something:

THIS RELEASE IS FUCKED!!

I just downloaded it again from another source, burned it and the EXACT same problems are still present:
1) AUDIO & VIDEO ARE OUT OF SYNC ON BOTH CDS
2) MAJOR VIDEO GLITCH FROM 6:40-7:20 ON CD1 (affects 40 seconds of video)

The sync problem affects the entire film. *REPACK* this bitch!
