Why don´t include subtitles in releases?

I know that maybe you will laugh at me, but I just wondering why the releases groups don´t put subtitles in their svcd releases. I am a spanish man, and like a lot of spanish guys I download your movies cause if I want to watch them in my language I have to wait a pair of months.

I have watched a lot of english movies, and I have get used to do it and now I understand very well english, but in a lot of movies I always miss a lot of things cause I´m not english native speaker.

So I just want to know why all the svcd releases hasn´t subtitles (I´m not asking for spanish subtitles, I prefer english subtitles). I know that it doesn´t cost a lot to add them to a svcd and that way more people like me would download that movies, spreading them in their countries (In Spain in my case)

Just out of curiosity, why are you complaining (don't take it too seriously) about the language in the movie, then asking for that language in the subtitles?

Having subs helps people who are not used to hearing english on a daily basis. Sure, he might have good knowledge of the english language, it still helps lots to have the subs, even in English.

Hearing it and reading it are two quite different things, and it is much easier to read a language than to, for example, understand someone speaking it.

speed of language + accent = harder to understand, especially when you've learnt the language mainly thru a text book or something.

Both pho and dawgy have answered for me. That´s the problem to a lot of non native-speaking people.
I can understand almost all the spoken english of the movies, but you miss a lot of things (jokes like in Men in black 2 for example) that you won´t miss reading.

And it doesn´t cost anything to add the subtitles from the dvd.
