mp3quality gone

That sucks bad. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but it sounds like the mp3 "sceners" need to get a life. I was happy to find a reliable source to tell me when some albums got released. Been checking it every day waiting for the new LP release, but I guess that's the way it goes. It doesn't seem like any mp3 release ever lasts. Just wish there was some way to bring this back. In the meantime, anybody know of another site?, it seems like most are either closed down or not updating anymore.

That does sucks. I enjoyed the site myself. To bad that sharing a little knowledge with people will make someone bash your name and make a hate irc chanle.

Then again it's always easier to bitch then to actualy do something yourself.

"its funny.. the mp3scene seem to concerned about privacy and security that they cry (and yes, they cry a lot) about a website like this, which is one of a few by the way, and more will come whether you like it or not.. yet i have a list of usernames and groups of people who opposed it, and people who also published my iP (or what they think is my iP anyway) around... not that secure really guys...

from the attitudes and the whole crybaby attitude that seems so so popular amongst mp3sceners (which is a funny term to use when 10mbit sites can get an mp3 rating without much trouble) that proves they are just cowards. dont like the public finding out about releases? how about you dont pre them then. if you can't stand even the slightest bit of publicity then you're in the wrong game my friends. if you think one website complying with your whinging is going to lessen your chances of being caught then i feel sorry for you.

Wow. I'm actually pretty surprised that mp3q was X69's site. I figured it was someone just using a variation of the vcdq site's name for their own advantage. Pretty impressive to see X69 is behind both of them. I loved the site when it was up. I guess the sceners had no problem with mp3hq cause it was always so shittily outdated?

Anyway thank you X69 for this site and that one. For every unappreciative person out there, there are 10 who truely appreciate your hard work. Quite a shame some people dont recognize and realize the work you put into all this when their whole thing is to reward those who contribute.

I was sad to see it go as well. Bump for ideas of other places to check... mp3hq.net has been down for a LONG time and still says "Coming soon"

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see mp3quality when it was in existence. I'm sure it was a great site, and would provide a great service to the kiddies who arn't 1337 enough to hang out in the mp3sceners private dupecheck chans.

But you know what, the mp3 scene is a fucking joke. So I wouldn't take the words, opinions, or values of their sceners very highly, nor would I brake if I saw one crossing the street.

Hopefully X69 will bring it back up in defiance.

I just think it's kinda strange that the mp3 "sceners" complain about a site that didn't even show NFO files (correct me if I'm wrong) or any other sensitive information... Wonder if VCDQ got bashed when it was first started?...
Too bad there ain't no other mp3 release sites available... but it's probably just too much work to keep up with all the releases that's why no sites exist in the long run
