Addition of Timed "Edit" function

ok, i saw this on another forum and also on my boxofhate (ooh nice plug!) the software we use has this built in as standard, and i think its a good addition.

basically, it gives you a certain amount of minutes to edit your post after you've posted it..

the reason i want to install this is, it will cut down on the amount of people reediting their posts after they've been edited by moderators. new staff guidelines mean there wont be many comments in peoples posts anymore, and things will just be snipped out, so we dont want to see them reappearing later on.

dont really want to do this kind of thing, but due to certain people its pretty much going to happen within the next few days, just thought i'd give you a headsup. you know who to blame for this.

i am not totally sure why editing and commenting within post offends me so much but it does. hell it has not even happened to me but it bugged me. it has to be hard to define that line where dumping it without comment verses the all loving flame, it just seems inserting it adds a bit of insult whether intended or not.

i tend to edit my own post quite a bit cause i read everyone of em after i post it. can ya clue us in to the time limit? 5 mins? 10 mins?

kewl that your workin things here and letting peeps know. i guess i just see my post as "mine" my little piece of turf around here and it feels invaded. gesh god knows i am odd but i am glad you swinging things that way.

as fer them trouble makers, tis always effective to spoof thier ip addys and surf your way into #packet and say "all the ops lick dog balls" heh heh
