-- The 25th Hour *iNTERNAL* *CVD* *Read Nfo* - SCREENER - FLAiR (http://forum.vcdq.com/showthread.php?threadid=16875)
First Post!!!
(to stop those stupid twats.... )
Despite not as good as esoteric's screener, nice work with cvd, watchable, overall good stuff
6/7/6
First Off... Obviously a 2nd or 3rd Gen Tape... So from that we go to the fact that encoding was CVD... CVD is a great way to encode vhs... As you can tell from this release... Sound and Video were equally nice and acceptable to me... If this screener wasn't encoded to CVD than im sure pixilation would have been much more noticable... If the tape was a 1st Generation Screener this rls would have been simply perfect video wise... ANYWAYZ... 8/8/7...

Video is nice looking with no major flaws, sound is good, at least in the sample. Nice to see some groups encoding in CVD, though I'd recommend the esoteric release over this, but this release is good as well. 8/7/8
OMFGROFLMFAO WTG ! i love acronyms. Good job on the release guys. looks bootiful.

Is this version missing the big chunk that the ESO version was missing? If not, are you guys still saying the ESO version is a better bet?
Thx
The Obus version was the one missing the chunk, Esoteric had the full movie, if I remember correctly...
the esoteric version was the full one, and personally i think it was better then this release.
ESOTERiC's release may well be better, but you kids seem to be forgetting that it's internal
CVD is pretty sexy The source for this rls is pretty poor, but they were testing the new CVD
Video - very grimmy and some parts rough
Sound - Sound was pretty good
Movie - Never watched it
6/6.5/???????????

hmmm
I dont wanna sound like an asshole cuz i know about a million people will flame me after this post but i was watching this version of 25th hour by flair and i decided id compare the sounds of each movie through sound forge and they appear identical... this is why i believe this is just a recode of esos in cvd but who knows :/
anyways thanks flair

id say ESO and FLAiR prob had the same source.. as they both look like the same quality video wise.
i can assure u... a group would have to be pretty dumb to try to take VCD and make it a CVD.. w/ a switch from mpeg1 to mpeg2 compression and resolution change. thats pretty dumb and if they had would DEF be noticable as a P.O.S. and as its iNTERNAL for the reason of testing CVD.. im pretty sure its legit release.
i think VSeeDeez is just doin a little bit of talkin out his ass.

i can't really see somebody bothering to reencode somebody else's release for an internal of a fairly minor movie...
