Too many sequels

I call this decade the sequel movie decade.

Lets see 2 fats 2 furious, theres a pitch black one coming soon, theres a xxx one coming, all the Pokémon shit, tomb raider, resident evil coming next year I believe, there was men in black 2, the two towers and I'm sure I left out many other. Anyone care to fill the list in.

Analyze That, X-Men 2, the Matrix sequels, Dumb and Dumberer, Legally Blonde 2, ...

Theres a Scary Movie 3 just seen a thread about it here and I think there The Ring 2 sequel.

at one time they promised they'd leave the REAL sequel to ring alone, but nooooo fucking lying scumbag motherfuckers.

if i see ONE more asian movie renamed, remade or dubbed in the US i'll fuckin kill the person responsible. no joke! i'll do it damnit!

I agree pho, remember Godzilla 2000. the thing is that a sequels will never be as good as the originals simply because you seen it all before. It be funny to see the sequel to the matrix fail like scary movie 2 but that wont happen the matrix always has allot of eye candy.

I agree with you as well, most sequels aren't that great, and can be quiet lame at times, which can irritate me.. But some are good, and the Matrix ones will be because of all the action and such. There is so much to see, I just hope it isn't to love mushy...

i thought the original Ring 2 was really good as far as sequels go if they do make an american sequel it will be nothing like the japanese one though because they've butchered the story too much already, and they can never make Ring 0 because sadako in the american one is way too young

They're not all that bad, but kev smith wouldn't touch a stinker. I have (catholic?) faith in this.

I personally am always willing to revisit an old character (s) and old movies IF they are done right and not just to make a quick buck on the tail of its original success *cough* MIB2 *cough*

A good film's a good film, whether it's a sequel or not. Think of all the excellent films we'd have missed out on if there had been no sequels!

I agree that we shouldn't have to put up with studios trying to make a quick buck by pumping out rubbish, but they do this as much with sequels as they do with... things that... aren't sequels..

What's the name for something that ain't a sequel, by the way?

Agreed too many sequels... that said I don't care it's just more movies to download.

i just saw a screener of 2 fast 2 furious yesterday at the beverly hills center. its WAY better then the first one.
