-- Why? (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=18904)

Posted by Movieguy on 05-08-2003 07:30 PM:

Why?

Why was this even rls when a perfectly nice FS was rls 4 months ago?

I realize this is ws but still 4 months late is no reason to rls it

This should be Internal

Dude. FS sucks. WS owns. Period.

makes sense to me, i burned the FS a while ago, but this one's so much later that i'm not gonna bother with it...

sample looks good on my buddies TV and all, but pretty useless...(i'm assuming you're talking bout I60)

since all the senior people seem to be in here...what's the diff between limited/internal?

Posted by Mercenary13 on 05-08-2003 10:00 PM:

Posted by Joynt on 05-08-2003 10:29 PM:

widescreen svcd, whats wrong with that? this is the version Ive been holding out for.
limited: meaning the movie itself is in 'limited' release, as far as movie theatres, and video/dvd, it might be a hard one to find, depending on where your looking. (not the dictionary definition, but the basic idea)

Posted by Mr_Grinch on 05-09-2003 12:45 AM:

As well as the widescreen/fullscreen side of things wasn't the previous release a dvd screener? where as this is a retail dvd.

Also (I'm not sure if it was just the divx rip I had) the sound seemed to suffer and fade in and out on the previous release. I'm unsure as to whether it did or not on the svcd.

Either way I loved this film and I love widescreen.

Posted by Davy on 05-09-2003 02:04 PM:

"Rar files...: 114*50 MB" (From NFO)

114 * 50 = 5700Mb. 5.6 Gigs for a 2 Disc SVCD .. I take it that its the NFO that is fucked, and not the release seeing that it hasn't been mentioned here already :P
But has anyone actually seen this to see if the rar's are infact 50Mb each, cause i thought that was only used on DVDR releases :\

Posted by whitehat on 05-09-2003 02:25 PM:

prolly just used their dvd-r nfo template for this release.

ah! well, in that case, I must say that I very much appreciate the widescreen release. it made an already excellent movie even better.
