No one reads my opinion, nor responds, but bleh. I'll do it anyways. Down with Love opened in 1 theater this week and had an impressive 44,000 or something. The only thing to consider is, well, Punch Drunk Love. Punch Drunk Love scored a MUCH HIGHER per theater average in 4 more theaters. Usually, the more theaters, the less per theater, naturally. Punch Drunk Love then flopped. Down with Love has had great buzz plus McGregor has developed a Moulin Rouge fanbase and Zellweger is hot straight off Chicago. It might be an interesting one to watch.
I'm not suprised by the showing of Bend it like Beckham or A Mighty Wind. Daddy Day Care scored a bigger per theatre average and it sucked. Infact, it scored a bigger theater average than both of them combined. And they're both pretty good movies, especially A Mighty Wind.
