Nic Cage is DEAD TO RIGHTS

Variety reports that Nicolas Cage is attaching himself as the lead in DEAD TO RIGHTS, based on the Namco crime/action video game of the same title. Producing the film will be former Warner Bros. studio chief Lorenzo di Bonaventura as well as Cage and his producing partner at Saturn Films Norm Golightly. Screenwriter Kevin Brodbin (THE GLIMMER MAN) is also onboard to write the movie's script once the project is sold to a studio.

The Namco game is about a disgraced police officer named Jack Slate who goes out alone in search of the criminals who killed his father. The game has been released for all three major gaming systems (PlayStation 2, Xbox and Gamecube) and a sequel is in development for a holiday 2004 release.

Cage's next job is as the tortured motorcycle rider possessed by a supernatural spirit of vengeance, GHOST RIDER.

YAY! Nic Cage is a really good actor IMO, and I love Dead To Rights. Movie should be sweet Thanks for the info man.

He's also doing Ghost Rider. A part he may be more suited than Superman.

I dont know about this.....a lot of games that were made into movies sucked ass.. a great example of this is Resident evil...that movie sucked
