EXCLUSIVE: ALIEN trailer attached with LXG!!!!!!
YES! OH SWEET JESUS THIS IS GREAT!!!
An industry source has notified us that 20th Century Fox will attach a trailer for the re-release of Ridley Scott's ALIEN with THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN. LXG, as the latter film has been referred to in its promotional campaign, is scheduled for release on July 11.
Rumors of a theatrical re-release of Scott's 1979 picture were first heard last month. Our source has heard the same news, that the film will be released again in theaters this coming Halloween. Fox has yet to make an official announcement.

Cool! Well if they're rerealising it. What will be new about it this time around? Deleted scenes? Enhanced graphics ala Star Wars rerelease. And what's his I hear about a possible nother Alien sequel with Ridley Scott, James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver back on board?

Ridley Scott as director and James Cameron is the writer.
i did hear that Spider....Cameron is on board as exec Producer/writer, but Ridley Scott is on board as director for Alien 5 with Sigourney Weaver as the star.

if that happens, thats awesome news. another alien sequel isn't really needed, BUT if you're gonna bring back the best team of people from the previous 4 movies to do it, then i'm so up for it it hurts.
yeah sure, the series is getting a bit long now, and what year is it even ? they better bring it back oldschool. would be nice to have maybe a prequel or maybe the long awaited aliens on earth?

And the reason pets is hyped about it is, I think, because this was the movie he never got to see in theatres that he wanted too. Right?

OOOOOOOOH Indeed good news and bad news..which one do we believe?
New ALIEN or no ALIEN?
Two movie websites are reporting different stories about this fall's re-release of Ridley Scott's 1979 horror movie ALIEN. One site backs up yesterday's report from FilmJerk that Scott's film will now include deleted scenes not seen in the original '79 release while another site claims no new footage will be inserted in the movie.
First, let's heard the word from the pro side of the debate. According to a scooper submitting to Coming Soon, twelve minutes of deleted material will be included in the ALIEN re-release. The CS scooper claims to have been part of a survey group asking if they would be interested in seeing the classic in theaters once again.
But on the negative side of the camp is the Creature Corner website. The fine Corner folk say their sources have put the kibbosh on talk of new ALIEN scenes in the re-release, and that there's no truth to the CS or original FilmJerk rumors.
Our own source who first alerted us to the ALIEN re-release wasn't made aware of any additional footage to be included in the '03 release, but they also weren't told much about it except when the film was coming out, when to expect the trailer and that it was happening.
Fox has yet to release an official comment shooting down the extra footage rumor.

I was never a big fan of the original Alien, but it's good to see a classic movie get rereleased in theater, rather than remaked.
I welcome a new Alien sequel with open arms (esp. if Weaver, Cameron and Scott are on board)
i watched all the alien films alien and alien2 where brilliant i saw alien when it first came out in the cinema even though i was 15 and it was and 18. alien 3 was rather lacking in my opinion been a long time since i watched the 4th release.if they releaed a fifth it would have to match up to alien/aliens as the rest were rather off the boil.
