What is the best standalone DVD
In your opinion what is the best standalone DVD player?
one that plays most formats without a problem.
well my Apex AD-1500 plays everything I throw at it
pioneer 444 or if you got money 949
havent seen an apex but have tried alot of standalone and still cant knock the Dansai 852 plays everything and searches sub menu's for under a £100 its tops
Zantak
Pioneer 444 for the person who wants a top brand name and a better chance of the parts lasting over time and Apex 1500 for the budget concerned buyer. Both do the same and both are great.
The Dansai 852 is the business. My pals has 3, and they take anything he can throw at them.
You could try the Naiko 2051. Same insides, but it's got the 5.1 sound outputs as well.

My Daewoo 3000n plays pretty much anything... vcd, dvd, svcd, mp3, jpegs... I paid $85 for it.
Personally if you got a good set up and a nice amp and speakers the Sony 725d ive had for 3years now is the bollox...
Watchin dvds on this baby is a pleasure....
On the down side it dont play all the new formats so ive had to bite the bullet and buy a cyberhome 528L.
The picture qual aint as good as the sony but hey i can watch svcds dvdrs and the rest..
Sony 725D for the true dvd lover.
Cyberhome 528L for the play all lover(svcd dvdr etc)
