the movie was tight..the freeway scene with the twins was the best part. the second best was when neo fought oracle's bodyguard,

i think revolutions would be better than reloaded b/c of oracle's bodyguard actually helping out..

"superb"

I loved the movie, I mean, how could you not? I have to admit though, that my reactions to the first were much greater than the feeling I had walking outta the big screen with Reloaded. I wasn't disappointed with Reloaded but I wasn't nearly as impressed as I was with the first. Sure, the action was groundbreaking, but watching the original with a better plot and those special effects that were far ahead of the rest at that time made the original a little better in my mind. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how Revolutions turns out.

i enjoyed the first one but reloaded was rather a let down nice effects but it did not grab me.

I voted for plot = great, action = not. Walking out of the theater, I thought neither was great until I started reading posts here and elsewhere that clued me in to little details I had missed while watching. Now, after rewatching some scenes on my trusty PowerBook, I am of the opinion that the plot was amazing.

The reason I didn't like the action was that most of it involved Neo, and we all knew Neo couldn't be killed. So what was the point? And since he could have just flown away at any time, I didn't understand why he even bothered to fight with all the Smiths in the courtyard. But the highway scene was cool.

indeed, reading the various theories has certainly made the movie a lot more enjoyable. with other films where the director has purposely written it so it confuses in order to wriggle out of writing a coherent yet still clever plot (a fashion i can't say im a fan of at all) they've written a storyline with a lot of intricate details which allow us to build our own ideas until the reality is revealed. i wonder how many different endings for revolutions were shot.. a lot of films have their ends changed due to test reactions etc, so i'd be intrigued to know what possibilities there are ahead (but only after i've seen it hehe )

Although I didn't think the movie was as gripping as the original, the SFX were far better. The story could have been much better and the action scenes more breath-taking, if the movie had not been hyped so much. How many teasers/trailers were there? I think we all saw entirely too much of what was to come and it spoiled it for some of us.

And I agree that Neo got a little too much focus. Trinity starts it off with a quick rally and gets her ass kicked later on. Morpheus struggles a bit and doesn't do anything really amazing. Niobe has a sequence so short that if you blink, you miss it. And poor Agent Smith (or his clones rather) is made to look ridiculously inferior.

The only reason I was able to give Reloaded any amount of due respect was because it's part of a saga -- not a movie in its own right. It's merely the first half of a movie, or if you want to be anal, the middle sequence of a trilogy. I'm willing to bet that after seeing its integration with Revoltions, many people will change their minds about Reloaded. The Matrix gave us questions and answers to those questions. Reloaded gave us questions about those answers. And Revolutions will in turn answer those.

Then again, when was the last time an action sequel truly kicked ass? The only two that come to mind are Terminator 2 and Aliens, which both had a seven year interval from the original.

plot was great, action slowed down plot progression instead of furthering it like the original

Great movie..enjoyed everything about it. I dont analyze action films..thrillers maybe but I go to an action film to get lost in it...if its bad its bad..if its good its good.

The movie was well made and it had alot of clues of whats going to happen in the next movie. Some people didnt get the movie so it might of sucked for them.
