Waters Looking For Sex Addicts

Calling all female sex addicts.

DIRTY SHAME director John Waters is looking for a female lead to play a convenience store owner who develops uncontrollable sexual urges after suffering from a concussion. With Johnny Knoxville (JACKASS), Selma Blair (LEGALLY BLONDE) and Paul Giamatti (PLANET OF THE APES) already on board, Waters told Variety "I wish Meryl Streep would do it but I don't think she would. It has to be somebody real, who looks like they could belong in a convenience store and in Hollywood these days, women in their forties who look real are hard to find."

Waters is going back to the craziness of his earlier films POLYESTER and PINK FLAMINGOS. "It's a sex education film that asks the question, 'Can tolerance go too far?' It's also based on a really true fact, and I've of course exaggerated it. But there are a tiny percentage of concussion sufferers who have a carnal lust they cannot control. Of course in this film, they take over a whole neighborhood."

Gyllenhaal Starring In Harold Ramis Bio-pic

Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to star in a biopic about writer and director Harold Ramis (ANALYZE THIS). Going from a 7 month stint working in a psychiatric hospital to working for Playboy magazine, Ramis has seen his share of surprises. "There's nothing an actor can do that will surprise or intimidate me, having wrestled people to the ground preventing their suicide, cleaning their excrement off the walls, mopping blood off the floor. I can be impressed, but I'm not intimidated." Ramis said in a recent interview.

M:I 3 pushed back

Paramount Pictures has decided to forget its plans to release MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3 sometime in May 2004. While the film is still in the nascent pre-production phase, the studio had announced it was targeting a May '04 release for the flick. What likely changed the mind of star Tom Cruise was an earlier story that he was thinking of playing the villain in Michael Mann's COLLATERAL which is scheduled to commence filming this fall. Paramount's decision to pull M:I 3 from its May berth might indicate a formal announcement regarding Cruise in DreamWorks' COLLATERAL is imminent.

If Cruise leaps into his IMPOSSIBLE work after completing COLLATERAL, the earliest M:I 3 could be out in theaters would be in time for the '04 holiday season. Conceivably the picture might be rescheduled for a summer 2005 release. Director Joe Carnahan (NARC) is still attached as director for the picture.

DAMN BASTARDS! I was looking forward to this one too
