This is an awesome movie. The effects are amazing.

Can't wait for the third.

Thanks

hmm downsampled im sure, so why bother? the movie is exactly the same as the old "ultimate" edition, including the so-called extra minutes. i think people would've picked up one of the 900 releases of that already... sigh.

extreme ed = cash in. a wm9 version of a film is no real reason to bring out a successor to the "ultimate" edition now is it. oh wait, the sequels out soon? ahhhh

excellent...this movie was good

The *only* reason for this version's existence is the first-ever commentary by James Cameron, the director. Unfortunately, it was ripped from this rip..... Audio files aren't usually that massive, I'd have happily settled for a little less picture quality if you could have kept the commentary. Otherwise, flawless work.

The 3rd imo is going to be the worse of them all, the trailer looks like garbage. Even though part 2 was good and more pubicized, I still think part 1 owned.

Actually, it's a new, much improved transfer. From dvdfile.com:

Finally! A DVD of Terminator 2 has been released without obnoxious edge halos. Having been disappointed by the transfer of Artisan's August 2000 release of the Ultimate Edition - a transfer that looked very much the same as the original T2 release of October '97, independent of the addition of the scenes that extended the film - I was a bit wary. But for the Extreme Edition Artisan has created a new 1080p24 high definition transfer...

It's too bad, since the new version has the better picture, plus the commentary, but the old version had better extras.

dvdr skips at about 113 minutes into the movie. audio stops and the dvd freezes. looks like a bad mux. hopefully their will be a repack or proper.
