Uniform-sized JPEGS?
Here's an idea, if possible: one standard-sized jpeg rule. Right now, some jpegs are huge and some are tiny. Some jpegs have one picture, others have four. It might be easier to compare these pictures if there was one standard everybody followed. Those teeny-tiny jpegs are the worst: they can make a POS rip look like a Rembrandt.

but then, some bits of some rips look better than others etc...
Jpegs are a VERY rough guide.
even samples aren't always indicative of quality.
well there is a standard rule : 100% image sizes. VCDs are smaller than SVCDS. PAL is bigger than NTSC. we're not going to resize something as that'll make it look off .. the only time i personally resize is PAL svcd, i resize it down to NTSC svcd size, because its over 1500 pixels wide otherwise (2x PAL SVCD width), and thats just takin the piss like. and as for the 1 picture over 4, its simply due to time. these things aren't done instantly, and if its a busy day then people will do single pics for svcds etc.
