Looks like a small error by SMB

Just extracted cd1 and thought i would pass info along that it looks like whomever encoded this rip made a small error in the .cue file and misdirected to the wrong .bin filename.. All that needs to be done is to open smb-cypher.svcd.cd1.cue then edit as following:

replace "CD_Image_File_CD1.bin"

with "smb-cypher.svcd.cd1.bin"

This is only for cd1..

Original .cue

FILE "CD_Image_File_CD1.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
FLAGS DCP
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
FLAGS DCP
INDEX 00 00:04:00
INDEX 01 00:06:00
INDEX 02 00:06:01
INDEX 03 12:14:18
INDEX 04 29:01:24
INDEX 05 37:17:67
INDEX 06 44:05:30
INDEX 07 61:05:58
INDEX 08 72:11:51

Modify your .cue file to the following below

FILE "smb-cypher.svcd.cd1.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
FLAGS DCP
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
FLAGS DCP
INDEX 00 00:04:00
INDEX 01 00:06:00
INDEX 02 00:06:01
INDEX 03 12:14:18
INDEX 04 29:01:24
INDEX 05 37:17:67
INDEX 06 44:05:30
INDEX 07 61:05:58
INDEX 08 72:11:51

Again this is only for cd1 ... Haven't gotten around to checking the .cue for cd2 yet.. the method will be the same if it's needed

Same error with cd2 .cue file

Just checked cd2 .cue file and the same mixup is there...

All that needs to be done is to open smb-cypher.svcd.cd2.cue then edit as following:

replace "CD_Image_File_CD2.bin"

with "smb-cypher.svcd.cd2.bin"

Suppose i should actually rate the rip now

Asside from the small probs with the cue files the release was crisp. Both audio and video were excellent and the story was definately interesting..

Cypher was directed by Vincenzo Natali who was responsible for co-writing/directing the sci-fi movie "Cube" back in 1997.. This film has some very similar approaches in both story telling and visual cinematography.. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a strange yet cunning film in the clockwork orange/cube type of mold..

9/9/9
