I use my X-Box as my only DVD player, was just wondering will it play VCD's???

Nope. No video game system that is DVD capable is VCD/SVCD capable so far...at least until someone makes some hardware or "mod chip" for it

ps 1 and ps 2 both have vcd capabilities...

PS2 does not count as it takes ages and around 40 disks to watch one film. The PS1 isnt DVD compatible and xtra hardware had to be added onto it 2 work! Maybe thats what will happed. Odds are tho it will be a Boot disk a la Dreamcast
