Review:(2003)-Lara Croft:Tomb Raider:The Cradle of Life-Angelina Jolie

The Cradle of Life Movie Review

If you remember the first movie, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Lara Croft (Jolie) battled the group, Illuminati in their quest to reunite the halves of a severed triangle in order to control time.

In the much hyped, and I believe much more superior: The Cradle of Life, Lara Croft (once again portrayed by Jolie) races against evil for control of Pandoras Box, which brought to life Earth, but was slammed shut before it could release a plague to kill everyone and everything on earth.

The only problem I had with this movie was the describing of Pandoras Box from the early days to the current status, when Lara and her companion, Terry Sheridan (Gerald Butler), as the pair go deep sea diving, leaping from the tops of a Shanghai Skyscraper, and fighting amongst themselves in Africa.

So ok I had 2 problems as I found Butler's character Boring.

From the director of Speed, Jan Dubont, knows how to show off Jolie's gifted assets, as The Cradle of Life, I found to be truly entertaining, as it made me realize that perhaps, this is one of the rare films to top the original.

The Cradle of Life is 1 Hour and 56 Minutes long and is Rated PG13 for violence and sexuality

My rating: 9 out of 10.

Yes, we definitely need the Directors Cut of Cradle of Life where Jolie is naked the whole movie. Now that would be good. She says she's a C. I say she's a D!

I personally didn't like this movie at all. I enjoyed the first, but this one seemed to just suck. There were a few cool action scenes and of course Jolie is fine, but thats about it. I didn't like the plot...it was too unrealistic but I realize the movie is suppossed to be that way. To me...the movie was pretty boring, there were a lot of slow moments and I couldn't wait for it to be over. Also the shark at the beginning, oh god...it looked so fake...the shark from jaws looked better than this one and it was made in 1975. Heh, just my opinion...I'd give it maybe a 5 or 6 outta 10.

I didn't care that Jolie wasn't naked in this (if I needed that fix, I'd pop in my Original Sin dvd), I agree with you MG almost completely. The only thing I disagree with is Sheridan's character, I thought he was a lot better of a sidekick when compared to the guy Jolie loved in the first one.

The only thing that bugged me about his character was the idiotic decision he made in his last scene, I mean come on, he's given money, his freedom, and a helicopter, but still he decides to be a greedy bitch and get himself shot, meh.

Other than that, I thought it had a great little plot to it, it was well acted, and what few action scenes there were kicked ass (especially the scene with those monsters killing the army guys). Yet another kickass sequel this year.

Anyways, this movie wasn't that great. Plot was sterotypical, acting was normal, and nothing special really happened.

Before I went to this movie, I was watching the old Star Treks (with Spock) and my time watching those were better spent than this movie. Ah well.

personally, i thought this movie was boring. some *ok* action sequences with a crappy story line didnt really do it for me.
id give it 3 or 4/10

mg... why? oh why?

4/10 at best. i respect them for trying to use traditional stunt methods, but the whole map having that video clip embedded into it? oh c'mon!

Waattt? How can you rate this movie 9/10? I think your going way to easy on the ratings if that's the case. I personally didnt think this movie was all that good. The first movie seemed better. If your gonna give this movie such a high rating than why not give Bad Boys 2 10/10? This movie should be rated like a 5 or 6 if anything IMO.
