Am I missing something? Regarding the LOTR Trilogy

*EDIT*

I'm going to edit this post because I can't get a half decent answer out of any of the die-hard LOTR fans (besides TheCandyMan) that flame any post with the words bad and LOTR in it.

Regarding the Matrix Reloaded: YES it did get bad reviews. One critic called it a bad Star Trek movie. Don't give me the bullshit how critics don't know anything and how all the 16 year olds are much smarter and how a university education means nothing . I win you lose . lol

What are you missing?

a clue for one

Well now I can see the intelligence level and age of these potion wizard loving LOTR fans. Thanks for the help on that one .

Posted by horizonstar on 08-02-2003 09:08 PM:

dude, don't make repeat posts. especially when you clearly don't know what you're talking about -- again, there are no potions in LotR. (he already posted this exact same idiocy in the sticky LotR thread.) just because you didn't get the response you wanted there doesn't mean you should make another thread here.

/callvote ban

*curls up into a ball with hands over ears*

Next he'll start a thread saying, so what is it with all this Matrix crap? Accept it m8, LOTR rocks.

step 1: get a clue
step 2: get in touch with your emotions
step 3: watch the movie and look at the strong messages of friendship, love, and comradery. Top this off with the epic feeling, and absolutely stunningly beautiful art direction/correography.

Don't tell me how it has a good story line about some magical ring cause it's a shitty completely fictional fantasy you'd find a kid who plays pokemon all day watching. Maybe it's just not my kind of movie but I like alot of movies the public is into such as American Beauty, Fight Club, and I even have a big interest in Star Wars. What am I missing?

The Matrix is crap; it's sci-fi bs. It got some of the worst reviews I've seen.

I have yet to see LOTR make it in the oscars for best picture; at least be nominated. Most critics agree with me, it's the kids that love the movies full of magic and dragons that generates the money for these shitty movies.

You sir have got your facts completely out of wack. The first 2 movies (and guarenteed 3rd movie) were nominated for Best Picture. In fact the first movie was nominated for 12 oscars. Most critics agree with you? Again you are completely wrong. In fact both films were on most critics top 10 lists.
Finally, lemme tell you that I have seen so many factless idiots like you spew nonesense on these forums for over a year. You have nothing to offer and nothing smart to say so you just like to start problems and a little argument so you can feel a part of something. Now I am all for people having their own opinions about subjects, but yours is completely clouded and misguided. I would suggest you quit talking garbage now and find yourself a good romantic comedy to enjoy. You also might do with some schooling cause you seem to be lacking a good education.

lol. your estimation of a movie's worth is simply a function of what the "critics" say about it? hahaha ...

DC4ever you sir are an idiot. Your facts are 100% wrong. How old are you? That can answer quite a few questions.

Are you just out to offend everybody or are you REALLY cinematically challenged? Also, stop reading the newspaper critics of whatever shit town you live in and listen to a real critic, because Matrix and LOTR (and their sequels) were all critically acclaimed.

Just shut up already.

okay...

Fellowship of the Ring - culmilation of 180 reviews

94% is good in my books, dunno about you.

As for fan reviews... IMDB.com in the top 10 of all time

The Two Towers - culimlation of 197 reviews

97% not too shabby.

The Matrix - culmilation of 109 reviews

86% that's an 'A' in school

Matrix Reloaded - culmilation of 201 reviews

73% that's a 'B' in school

---------
I don't know WHAT crazy/retarded/imaginary reviews you read.

As for being for kids. Fellowship of the Ring had to remove the decapitation scene at the end in some countries to scrape away from a "R" rating.

do us all a favour and "Make like a tree" and take ure uninformed opinions with you.

we are not forcing you too like LOTR but theirs no need to start a thread to basically insult everyone on the board.

why is it so important for you too have your opinion voiced. if i want my opinion heard i would have my facts striaght first.

Posted by HoldDaSalad on 08-03-2003 03:43 PM:

C'mon exoricist you know those are bad reviews. lol. Riiight.... So I wonder what DC4ever's favorite movie got? Oh I think it's 8 mile, Malibus most wanted, You know those are his favorite movies. He can relate to the both of them quite well. Well I imagine he can, Well for the fact he seems to be stupider than a box of hair.

Try reading the trilogy first, dc4ever, you may appreciate the movies more. I've read the trilogy 4 times in the past 20 years, and it gave me a much better understanding of what is going on in the movies themselves, making them that much more enjoyable. But not everything is for everyone. For example, I think Jackass is stupid as hell, won't waste my time watching such garbage, imo, but a lot of people enjoyed the show and the movie.

lol did u read this guys first post edit? he wins, we lose. hahahahahaha

by the way idiot, way to contradict yourself and say that critics are all-knowing when in fact the lotr movies got overwhelmingly good reviews, as did the matrix ones. go troll somewhere else.

...request ban for sheer ignorance and stupidity
