Sony DVP-NS415 Problem

hello everyone i hope i'm posting this in the correct section. Just need some help with my dvd player here. The last 2 movies i have purchased for some reason it reaches a point in the movie where it looks like it jumps a chapter. Could this be somthign wrong with my dvd player??
