The Medallion Movie Review w/ Jackie Chan and Claire Forlani

I normally like Jackie Chan films, and hope he makes that third installment of Rush Hour as soon as possible, because outside of the Shanghai and Rush Hour movies, all his movies have this one thing in common its BORING, and unfortunately in his newest feature film, it is no different as I struggled to keep from falling asleep in this movie as I almost thought I was watching The Tuxedo all over again, but without the Tuxedo.

In his newest feature, The Medallion, Jackie plays a Hong Kong cop Eddie Yang, I have never seen him play anything else, who almost gets put into a coma, comes into a possession of a mysterious Medallion, that gives him super powers of Martial Arts. Can we say Tuxedo??

He teams up with a British Interpol agent played by the beautiful Claire Forlani (Meet Joe Black) to help fight Hong Kongs most notorius Snakehead, played by Julian Sands (Warlock), who wants to acquire the Medallion to take over the world.

At this point I was wondering WTF, yes I said WTF, because Claire Forlani is a mirror image of Jennifer Love Hewitts character from The Tuxedo, but the difference, it looked like Forlani can take a hit for martial arts, unlike Hewitt from The Tuxedo.

The Medallion is ok, but do not, I repeat do not watch The Medallion, save your money, cause we have seen it before.

Jackie needs to make better and fresher movies.

The Medallion is rated PG-13 for extreme action, violence.

The Medallion comes out in theatres August 22, 2003
