REVIEW: Freddy Vs. Jason(***MAJOR SPOILERS***)

***SPOILERS MOTHERFUCKERS***















ok.. lets start off with this
freddy vs jason, for what it is, its a very good movie, awesome story, awesome visuals, brutal body count, plenty of T&A
and suprisingly, the fight scenes between freddy and jason are very well choreographed, this is quite possibly the best slasher to come out in recent history.
one of my favorite scenes in the movie was when jason found himself at a rave in the middle of corn field.. and just started randomly executing all the little glow stick toting raver douchebags... highest body count of the movie at least at one time.
the one part of the movie that i didnt find appealing was in the mental hospital when the little creature that freddy forms slithers into a room with very jason mewes`esque token stoner character of the movie and gives him a bong hit.. that was pretty much the only dumb part of the movie..
as far as jump moments... goddamn there were plenty.. i was stoned at the theatre.. so when that guys dads head popped off like that i nearly pissed myself
another thing that disturbed me.. and heres the real spoiler......................................................................................................................................................................................................

first it leads you to think that freddy won.. then it leads you to believe that jason won.. and as jason is carrying freddys head as he walks out of the water onto the beach.. freddy is alive.. his eyes are moving..
and with the popularity of this movie.. i wouldnt put it past both new line and paramount to create other sequels to both franchises..
which if they were all as good as FvsJ i wouldnt mind.. but you know they wont be.. this shoulda been the end all be all of both sagas, this should have put an end to both psychopaths, they shoulda killed each other and sent the series out with a bang.. but the studios got greedy..

so beside those 2 minor agrivatory elements.. JvsF was very pleasing to an 80's child and a gore fanatic

rating freddy vs jason for what it is, a slasher/comedy/action movie

i give it a solid

For this to be either a Freddy or Jason movie it wasn't bad at all. There were laughs, killin done the right way, and plenty of skin. What more could a slasher fan want? I started to think Jason was becoming a panzy a.k.a. case in point Jason X. Robobitch got the best of him in that one. But he kicked ass in this movie, I say he got the uperhand in this flick. I guess we'll see Freddy vs Jason 2 or something like that. Anyways, I was pleasently surprised this movie wasn't as cheesy as it could have been. I give it an 8.5. Definitely one of the better films of both franchises. Worth the $5.50 I paid.

I just got back from this and I gotta say its really really good =) The only grip I have is at the end when friday winks...The ending would have been so much cooler if it just ended with Jason holding freddys head But if they make a sequel they should really add twice the coolness...kind of add in some tag team action Pinhead, Freddy (both smart cunning and brutal) and Jason with Michael Meyers (Both big, stupid, and invincible) or hell I wouldnt mind seeing a Chucky vs Puppet Masters...except the puppet masters would mack chucky so bad it wouldnt even be remotely funny haha


9/10 - Best 80's style horror flick since the early 80's

I'd have to agree with you fuzz, I thought the movie was pulled off nicely, aside from the few complaints you had about it. The only thing that would ruin it would be a possible Freddy v.s. Jason II. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I thought Freddy vs jason really rocked! After reading so many negative reviews about it i lowered my expectations considerably, and at first this flick really didn't seem to be that extraordinary. The first half had it's moments (that "bed-kill" ist just hillarious!), and it wasn't t really bad or anything. To me it seemed like watching a pretty decent Ft13th and a decent aNoES movie rolled into one film, which is fine by me, but i expected something SPECIAL, not just something "decent". The second half of the movie however was just pure madness! I loved every second of it. THAT was what i had ecpected all along, and i think on repeated viewing this movie is gonna grow on me more and more, just like Bride of Chucky did.
I have to say though that i found FvsJ a bit too short, the climax became more and more intense and wild, and then it was suddenly over when i wanted it to go on.

This film is not gonna revolutionize the horror-genre, but it's a brilliant party movie, which - in my opinion - is exactly what this film had to be. So with that in mind i'd give it 10/10. Great Fun!

for the first thing freddy or jason neither one got enough time on the screen just that dumb "bitch" whining and moaning, as far as blood it was tacky. freddy played his part well, much better than jason, i mean come on fucking water stops him from slicing freddy. the fight scene was good, didnt know freddy had it in him. kelly rowland calling freddy a faggot, then getting killed, that was great. the ending was of course like all the other f-13 or NOES, a cliffhanger.....

you have to admit the bug with the bong was cool..

the bug bong was dumb.. lol


this movie kicked ass. Cheezy, gory, bloody, mindless fun. In the next movie Freddy should win though.. In the end of this one, it seemed that Jason had the upper hand. No way. Freddy would rip jason apart. When they were fightin Freddy always looked cooler and he could fight with more skill. Jason just kinda swung his machete around and got lucky.

Well, it could have been better, but i really still enjoyed it. Even if it had no plot what so ever, the violence was unreal.. maybe even over done, but thats the kinda horror flicks i like.
