Yeesh how long has this been in tape trading loop?A good number of years and a nice fan made a good dvd from a pretty low gen video mentioned above with artwork and all, I have seen it he did a nice job most copies I see are about the quality of this one or worse.

5/6/6 I say maybe check this one out if you can find it and don't wanna go through the trouble of actually buying it or trading for it

ive seen the "dvd" of this...quite crappy. Colors are always dark red for people and blotchy at best..

So you got some big fanatic for this workprint grab this.

Like I am to Star Wars I would love a copy of a Star Wars
workprint to any of the episodes (movies).

So im guessing same thing.

If you read the NFO, it says it has 45 mins of Alternate footage. So, its basically a different movie. I remember back in `95, or `96, it was gonna titled 666, but they changed the name and most of the footage. So this is a good reason to pick it up.

Video is pretty much what you'd expect from a standard WP. It's decent.
Audio is good... Clear with no distortion.

I'm actually pretty damn greatful for this release! I've been looking for this film since I heard it existed, I'm a big fan of horror and the Halloween series (Even BOUGHT Halloween 3, which was dire and featured badges that made people's heads explode with bugs because they contained bits of stone henge!) so I can't wait to see all of this.

From what I can see up to now, quality is perfectly acceptable, no worse than some of the old 70's originals I have sitting in my house!

A special treat for the people on holloween. Now dont be expecting
blazing quality on this one. It's the best copy we have seen of this
semi-rare print in a long time. Basically, what it boils down to is,
this is a COMPLETELY different movie then the Curse of Michael Myers. This
is actually titled Halloween 666: THe Origin of Michael Myers. It contains
over 45 minutes of Alternate (YES ALTERNATE) footage, and a completely
different ending. The video on this is around a 6.5, so if you are lookin for
super quality this isnt the release for you. The audio is superb, which
drew us to this release.

Managed to find a DIVX version of this movie, though it appears to be from a different source(possibly the DVD?). Looking forward to checking this out later.

That "dvd" on ebay is the same one they sell at comic conventions..not even a real one. Same quality.

the dvds on ebay are not really better quality. There improved as best as poss (e.g. timer removed) and the scenes left n for the final cut are taken from the dvd so it varies in quality

Alright people, here's everything you need to know about the Halloween 666 DVD.....

It was never oficially released and never WILL be officially released because Dimension Studios has no interest in it. So a fan took the H6 DVD and the highest quality tape he could find of the workprint and spliced them together using the H6 soundtrack (which is actually the soundtrack to the workprint and not to the released film).

There is no official release of this film, but that DVD that has been made is pretty good quality. There are 3 DVDs floating around out there... one is just a xcapture of the workprint tape (steer clear), one is another fan-edited version (not too bad) and the other is the best thing you could POSSIBLY find short of breaking into Dimension and stealing the master copy.

This rip is alright, I've seen better quality tapes of this movie though. Not bad if you don't have the money to buy the fan-made DVD.

Being a huge Halloween fan I am kicking myself in the behind for not grabbing this one.
