Props and merry xmas to DCi aswell, based upon CD1 ratings as follows for this nice screener :-

Video = 8.0

Audio = 8.2

Movie = 8.5

Hope the above helps

Full Screen , blurry and has a glitch (flickering) at the bottom of the screen , colors were good & sounds excellent . Loved the movie & gonna pick this up. No Screener counted noticed. Thankx DCi

yupz pitty about the line at the bottom that flickers but other then that all is Good like the man says, Probably gonna get this aswell for my kids, would have been nice if it was a DVD Screener,but I am not one to complain

7.8/8/?

Posted by Air1 on 12-22-2003 10:10 PM:

wow that sample is hilarious. haven't seen the movie yet but looks great.

yeah i agree, that flicker/blur at the bottom is kinda disappointing. maybe they or someone else will proper it.

still gonna give 8/8 for vid/aud

Posted by coolmink on 12-22-2003 10:50 PM:

yeah, the movie looks really good. not sure about this screener lark though... been in two minds as to whether or not to get it. rather wait for a dvdscr, unless one of you who has seen it can totally say it's good stuff?

Posted by JustMe on 12-22-2003 11:00 PM:

Horrible flicker at the bottom of the picture & a bit blurry everywhere else. Apart from that tho, a good release.
Sound is good

Movie isn't bad. Def one the kids will enjoy

just crop it out

Posted by pHo on 12-22-2003 11:32 PM:

which means running a low bitrate lossy codec thru another encode run. better off using black tape than do that.

8/8/? very nice video other than a little blur and that flickering, excellent audio, definitely worth getting

Posted by sickdick on 12-22-2003 11:55 PM:

just watched it on telly
ok the blur on the bottom doesn't show on tv so that's great
but the video itself has so many artifacts whenever there is movement... so i'd say its watchable but not that great after all

edit: by blur i meant flickering, and by movement i meant heavy movement like the guy running and stuff, the pic gets so blocky that u can't say if its a guy running or a mountain collapsing

Whats the black tape for to stop the flickering or to stop the kids moaning that its flickering....

Only joking

When i saw the sample I was dissapointed about the flicker at the bottom of the screen, but it doens't show when you watch it on tv. However like the other posts .. I was kinda pissed about the fuzziness and glitching everytime something moved a lot. And for a vhs screener, it's a very nice picture. If someone propers this and encodes it differently ... defeidntly worth downloading.

you most be juging from sample? This is a bad release by far!

Posted by Liife on 12-23-2003 02:59 AM:

Oh cool, a screener just in time for Christmas Eve!@#$

Video: Ach, flicker, some noise and FULLSCREEN, 7.

Audio: Clear enough, I didn't notice any hiss or buzz or general nastiness, so, 8.

Movie: Will Ferrell is hillarious, Jon Faverau is a genius, this movie rocked, 9.

The family will like me for this, I'm sure.

Um this is a screener?!?!?

flicker and fullscreen which isnt too bad,but since i already watched the TS its better to wait for a better release like a dvdrip or better screener.

7/8/8

thanks for rel nothing the less.

Posted by bryehn on 12-23-2003 05:18 AM:

reminds me of that house of 1000 corpses screener from last year in terms of quality.

people seem to forget that VHS is well...VHS sometimes...and that VCD kinda sucks too...

looks like i'm watching on a shitty VCR i have kicking around.

more than watchable...and just in time

not quite sure why this is getting such high numbers

low points

video is terrible for a screener .. any fast movement causes MAJOR pixelization .. blur on the bottom looks like a cheap ATI deal .. overall it's watchable .. 6

audio is very good .. 8

movie was pretty funny .. didn't really hold up toward the end .. 6

mad props for the rls! .. but a better encode would have been nice

tnx and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
