annoying screech in audio at beginning part of cd two. other than that a good release. read the book, thought that was even better than the movie. movie kinda gave things away a bit faster

anyone else having problems playing OBUS releases on standalones? every one of their screeners i dl'ed so far played fucked up on my standalone, audio constantly skips, its weird, i usually dont have any problems like this with vcd's. everything they have released so far (that i have dl'ed) plays fucked up. anyways nice quality.

ON PC

8/8/?

ON STANDALONE (Mine anyways)
8/1/?

they play fine on all mine ... apex 1200 A.D, apex 1600 and apex 2600 ... might be your player, or possibly the media ... but who knows ...

nice quality screener, thanks obus for all those releases ... keep 'em coming, I love screener season

Props to obus/ good release.
Just curious if anyone else had this "sound" issue when playing mystic river- every few mins ( 5-10) i would get sort of a loud "pop" noise and then the audio would seem to get lower.. and increase over time then "pop" again.. heh. i hope it was just me but at the same time it makes me wonder which part of my system is fubar.
Anyways , good release.

i've been having volume issues as well
picture is best i've seen from a scr in a little while

my tv made a HUGE boom at one point, it sound like someone smashed my tv with a hammer. other than that and the 5 minutes of screech surrounding people taking in the first 5 orso minutes of cd2, the rls was good

Good picture. A few little intermittent squeaks/pops on the audio, nothing that makes it unwatchable though. Excellent movie. Has a great unexpected twist. One of the best films I've seen this year.

I have been waiting for this movie to come out with some really good quality for a while. I had trouble getting the other releases...one had some poor picture quality and the other had a sound problem. This release has a great picture... 7
The sound I noticed had a little bit of a hesitation to it at points and then it made a squeaking noise and at that point the voice would catch up to the characters mouths. Overall the best release of this movie by far. Should be up for best picture.
Video 7
Audio 7 -Good audio ...but as mentioned before a bit low ...and one part had a loud bang that scared the hell out of me.
Movie 9

same here dude, then like the other guys said on cd2 there is a loud boom when the guy is getting questioned, it scared the shit outta me, but apart from that minor issue was a very nice release and a great movie! thanks & all the best for 2004 obus....

Couldn't even get this to open in PowerDVD properly let alone my standalone. Demuxed in TMPGEnc, run both audio streams through BeSweet and remuxed - works fine now. Both mpgs were heavily padded which may have caused your standalone issues.

On quality: Vid-7.5/Aud-6.0 (must try harder for compatibility)/Movie-8.5
