Another hi-qual popular movie rls by Chakra! Great audio/video quality like always. Congrats go to Chakra for really making a name for themselves this year. As for the movie, not as good as Tobe Hooper's version from 1974 but still a good remake for a new generation.... and Jessica Biel doesnt hurt

looking at the nfo it says no watermark, no scrolling messages, no black and white scenes... how can this be a screnner?

yeah i watched the sample for this svcd version like i did for the dvdr one. very very nice.

this is basically a retail release, folks, so pick it up if you get the chance. no timers, no watermarks, widescreen.

i'm going to pick up the dvdr since it's basically a retail release. even has DD 5.1 (which is rare for dvd screeners). i don't really care for extras to be honest with you. i'm getting this (dvdr release) and skipping on the retail.

10/10/9

oh and one more note: retail won't be out til 3/30/04 or so and since this is essentially a retail release you'd better get it. heh

this movie is alright... nowhere near as good as the original (but what do you expect?). however, the quality of this screener is top notch!

i liked this movie, and thought it was better than the original.

Jedi I think your opinion is nonesense. It can't touch the original, remakes suck. Period.

as far as this movie is concerned my thoughts exactly........ this movie is definitely not better than the original movie......... it did have good acting though.......... oh and the quality of this release is typical screener quality...........

well i think your opinion is nonsense.

anyways the original was pretty funny, especially when he rolled down the hill in his wheelchair. i woula just left him down there cause all he did in the entire movie was whine and cry.

Posted by SPAZZ on 12-28-2003 04:47 PM:

As mentioned in an above post, this rls is of typical screener quality. Audio was great, video was a little grainy (intended? this was supposed to look like it took place in the 70's)

I am going to keep this, I doubt that the retail rip will be any better.

Love,
Spazz

this is a nice dvdscr , nice video and sound...nothing more you can say...the movie though blows compared to the original just really not scary.

video 8 nice but dark and sometimes wierd looking
audio 9 oh! its nice very nice
overall 8...nice movie new stars and cast...but I will stick with the original..

wierd dvd scr has ciggarette burns all over the movie
so i wouldnt doubt this to be a TC
also at the start of the movie theres movement of the screen as if its being recorded by a cam i might also jus b seing things but see for yourselves

eh. lol.
a TC is taken from a reel.. therefore.... no matter how much shaking there is.. it's not a TC..
=]

i could also be misunderstanding you and if this a cam.... it beats teh shit outta every cam there is.. but then.. this isn't.. funny guy =].. i don't see any cig burns.. does anybody see them?

i'm sure the shaking has an explaination.. most things do, just the cam one.. doesn't work for me lol..
funnnny guy.. uve got over 680 posts.. i'd expect better ^_^..

thanks fer your time..

k

well i have not sat down and watched this yeat but i burned both cd's and i skimmed through cd1 on dvd player just to see how it all was and i saw cig burns in right hand corner at 33:29 and 33:35 there is probably more in cd1 and probably in cd2 as well but i skimmed through it fast

So i will keep this for now but will definately need retail rip when it comes out
