my dvd player plays all of the svcd that are ntsc in black and white everything else is normal it´s the player that comes with the sony dav sc 5


any ideas?

If using a SCART connection, set video out to RGB.

Or see if there's a setting to play NTSC discs in PAL-60.

good point. If you're outputting to S-Video and you have the composite (or vice versa) hooked up, then the picture will be messed up. It often makes for a black and white picture

thats interesting, i have a version of need for speed underground for ps2 that plays black and white, game works fine excepting the lack of color..

Is it an ntsc release playing on a pal console?

I have NTSC LOTR TTT on xbox and i use engmah pal/ntsc selector to choose.

Obviously it isn't availabe on PS2!
