Xbox
Does anyone know if there are any loss of quality when watching a dvd in the xbox ? I have heard there are but what i have noticed there are no loss. Could it that the ones i have asked are MS haters ?

iv never heard that b4, dvd's seem fine on it to me
it's shite. "loss of quality"? that doesn't even mean anything.
it's not gonna be as good quality as the bitstream being pumped directly into your brain, no.
nor is it gonna be as good quality as a £500 all-the-bells-and-whistles standalone.
but it's not £500. loss of quality compared with what, exactly?
Xbox should be the same as any other dvd player
i use my xbox for dvds from time to time i havent noticed any quality loss (i did once tho when i put mpg1 files on a dvdr and used my ps2, im guessing cuz it has to software decode the mpg1) and also when i used the regionfree dongleless player (sry cant think of the name atm) i was able to play off resolution dvds that work in pc's but not most dvd players
come to think of it, what u may b thinking of could b macrovision too, since if u run the xbox through a vcr it will get dark and light, dark and light (not a prob for ppl who have mod chips like me

xbox is rated one of the best dvd players.
But dont PS2 and Xbox DVD Roms get wear out easily by watching Burn DVDs... ?
quicker than using retail pressed ones, yeah, but if you use decent discs with decent reflectivity, you'll hardly notice it.
Think i'll start watchin dvd's on my dvd player instead of xbox
Nice info thx
