very good release not cropped like the tcf release, this is the one to pick up. the colors are very good and the sound is excellent.

DVD Screener, I really doubt this, look how shitty the subtitles look, and how the 'j' is cropped at the tip of it. I think this is a really really good TC or TS, but I doubt this is retail.

Looks ropey to me. Just wait for the retail i guess.

Its not bad. Better than TCF. Should see a real dvd source in a few weeks, hopefully. Please let it be soon.... I cant wait any longer.

I will stick with my Kill.Bill.DVDScreener.SVCD-TCF...even though its a PDVD..I like it better..more decent colors...

but I rate this..

i dont think there is a need for this, i have in my possesion two dvdr's for this movie, one has dutch subs, the other does not. but the fact is they have scans of the case to prove that they are infact retail, and they look perfect.

Any B&W switching or watermarks? And is it cropped?

Posted by thejackal2000 on 01-25-2004 01:59 PM:

from sample: it seems slightly blurry/fuzzy round edges, and sample aint even an action seen, sound is good though, and colours fine to me.
there probably has been a little chopped off bottom, as eighty5 says the "J" is touching the bottom of the screen, maybe there was a mark, or timer or something. but i doubt u r gonna miss anything, so wots it matter?

I agree with BLUE-NEO the TCf rls a while ago it a lot better in my mind. color is a lot better on that one

yeah, the TCF release was good IMO. Still dont think that was a DVD source, more than likely a Telecine... but a great one at that.

I dont much of a point in this release, there are already enough good releases out... i expected the next release to be a DVD Retail...

still not a bad release, 8/9/100

Posted by BloodyGrape on 01-25-2004 04:23 PM:

solid release, but not quite as clean as the DiCE encode, imo. if you already have that stick with it, otherwise, I go for this, or wait till retail.

wheres the rotk scr?

8/9/8.5

Not a bad release but not the best. I have seen alot better dvd screeners. For sure the best copy out so if you need it grab it if not retail dvd should be out by the end of march.

yea.. i like the TCF version better

Posted by skrickett on 01-26-2004 06:20 PM:

Blaaaahh: it still looks not that bad better then the last release, but still looks cropped. I give this a 7/8/8

Posted by Extractor on 01-26-2004 11:27 PM:

Overall picture and audio quality is good. Although subtitles are very good visible the picture is still cropped (you don't see O Ren Ishi's scalp towards the end of the movie). As all previous released this is the R-rated version (Crazy 88 scene in black/white).

same as tcf's... don't bother with this one if you've got the tcf version, its exactly the same, iNR thought they could be sneaky and cut the sampel right after the cropped subs scene.

Just refreshed my memory, and compared this to the VCD Workprint and the TCF "DVD SCREENER" releases. This released looks almost identical to the TCF release.

Posted by Moloko_Plus on 01-28-2004 01:25 AM:

This is a dupe of TCF's, why isn't it nuked?
