VCD ratings
I was wondering how the rating system is done on the home page. Last night I watched the Beautiful Mind screener and The Majestic screener. The quality of the majestic screener was much better than beautiful mind. It seems like people rate on how good the movie is instead of the quality of the VCD. I'd rather know the VCD quality.
what are you gonna do, that's human nature
I dont know what to do to stop people from doing that.. have any suggestions?

Try having 2 separate vote things 1 for quality and 1 for movie.
just a suggestion
ideas
First, I want to clarify something. I didn't mean it as an insult or a criticism. This is a great site. It is by far the one I use most. Plus all the members are great.
I had two ideas about how it could possibly be done. First was the same as KMS. The second idea was that you could just select a good handful of loyal members and have them do the ratings. I don't know if either of these are feasible, but that's all I could think of.
Thanks
I think both suggestions have sensibilities.
I think most of the time, people are rating the rls' without actually seeing the film/sample, or they're just rating it 10 or 1 because of the group involved.
Maybe you shouldn't be allowed to rate until u've proven on the board that you are not a flamer , or biased etc, and that you're simply here to check on releases, like a lot of us are.

<The404> This is because you are an idiot
it wouldn't take much to have someone from a group spam the voting...
you could have two ratings, one public, one private with votes from trustees. that way newer movies can have votes even if the trustees don't get to it for a day or two.
love the site so far, nice work and thanks!

would recommend the one with loyal members who vote
or they must have a special number of posts to get a vote - status!
