Looks and sounds good from what I can tell, though it is downsampled some as stated in the NFO, but it is hardly noticable. I'll be sticking to the FS release I downloaded last week; it will tide me over until I decide to buy the WS DVD.

yea.. i got the FS...and knew the WS would come out really soon...but downsampled?? If it is hardly noticed then i'll grab it..! Good job BooZerS!

P&S => you loose ~ 40% of the frame. That's a no-brainer to me.

Anyway, (nuked):wheres.the.proper.reason? <--- hahahaha

and where is the PROPER reason in the NFO ? lame....

You Can see a difference on it being downsampled especially just a 4 pass

gonna hold out till either untouched or april 6th , whichever comes first

sound was ok

nice try .. but ... since its the WS we all been waiting for , dont hold back at the expense of lil bit bigger size

get real people. what makes you think the original would fit on a dvd5? it's a 129mins movie there.

Posted by Air1 on 03-07-2004 05:07 PM:

i'm with Hyper:

i'm more than happy to dl this proper. the other WS release didn't look that bad, anyway -- the sample looked beautiful. i decided to go ahead and wait for a proper for a slightly better picture, though and thus i am downloading this one right now.

i seriously doubt you'll see an untouched video version of this dvd just cause the movie is so damn long.

i didnt bother with the p&s but will grab the w/s

Some folks seem fussed about spreading a movie across 2 DVDr's. I'm not. Cost of media is not an issue. But it may be resolved soon with dual layer burners due. (Philips burner due next month with 1 sample dual layer media supplied).

I believe it turns off the auto subtitles.

subs

i think this comment is kinda general, but since foreign subs were removed on this release, i will post here.

i wonder, why not keeping the foreign subtitles, such as french/spanish? it's 2-4mb each one, and im pretty sure there's lots of ppl who will enjoy it.

Got this and love this..all the trailers intact and nice freak'n menus and scenes during selecting the options..nice all around ..ending to movie sucked though..
