APEX AD-700 svcd prob

Hey guys...

question for ya... I remember back when Traffic SVCD screener came out, i think that was my first SVCD, burned worked and still works supherb on my player.... Now all svcds except that one seems give me huge glitches and colour blotches on the screen about 15minutes into the vid. However the Traffic SVCD still works fine.. I"ve tried a variety of cd brands including the exact same ones traffic works on, but still no luck. I havn't upgraded the firmware, and i think that might be my last hope?

any thoughts?

burn speed

try burning at a slow speed if you haven't already. I was having that problem with random blochyness. Sometimes it would be through out the whole movie and other times it would start well into the movie, like the problem your having. When I slowed down to 16x instead of 32x the problem disappeared.

is it possible your traffic SVCD is NTSC and the newer SVCD's (ctp) you are getting are PAL?
