wow-- early early

Awesome-- now I can surprise my ex who's been asking me about this one for a month. Will post a review after I watch it. THANKS VIDEOCD-- new theatricals are hurting right now. I'm sure some people will be whining about the subtitles== they don't bother me at all== unlike sync problems, which are prohibitive. And as I recall last summer, a "subbed" release usually meant better-than-average quality for a first-out rip.

Did this get nuked? The ratings are awefully low if it didn't.

I have to say when I saw The Sum of All Fears in the movie theater(for a whole 5 bucks!), I saw a preview for this movie, and I can't begin to say how shitty it looked! lmao

MovieGod Speak Truth

FINE quality. Just when the scene appeared dead-- or at least seriously underground-- along comes VideoCD to rescue us. The picture and the sound are very good, and in sync. Not too dark. Professional, workmanlike job. No, it's not screener level, or ctp level (yet), but I HOPE VIDEOCD STICKS AROUND, and doesn't ditch us because of a few lamers.

As for the movie itself, I'm enjoying it in spurts. Reminds me of Fried Green Tomater's. As someone who is neither female, nor south of the Mason-Dixon line, it nonetheless seems like a pretty decent chick flick. Not as butt-kicking as "Thelma and Louise" (Susan Sarandon's best work), but I don't think I'll grow tits from watching it. Least I hope not.

6/7/?

Was this rip fucked up like Windtalkers?

Yes, the movie is fucked, particularly CD2, where there is ton of breakup and pixelization. I have no idea where this brr guy keeps posting the horribly INACCURATE reviews! I contend he has not seen the entire movie before he posts!

He did this shit before with an FTF release , praising it, then AFTER he watches it, recants his words.

Listen UP, watch the full phucking movie before your review it. CD2 is seriously fucked up!

Posted by brr8760 on 06-10-2002 11:00 PM:

Paul,

I agree that my Ya-Ya review may have been premature-- I still haven't made it to disk 2 yet. If it does what you say on disk two-- THANKS for the heads-up. My review was based on about 25 minutes, and I SHOULD HAVE SAID THAT IN THE REVIEW.

Usually disk two is the same as disk one -- Windtalkers and Insomnia (your FTF example) aside. Both fell apart on disk 2, which rarely happened in the past. If Ya-Ya does the same thing, that may not bode well for VideoCD's releases, further f**king up the new theatrical situation. Ugh.

I agree with your criticism. You were right, Your Honor. However, I must plead "not guilty" by reason of oversized testicles. I throw myself upon the mercy of the court.

Whoopsy... that's not your mercy!
