from what i have seen so far this copy doesnt have an angle , the AR is good , the colors are great , widescreen and sounds wonderful. I dont know where this grp came from but good job. Centropys runtime "skipped" some of the movie - lets see if this grp filled in the blanks ... overall this is much much better 2 CD also. Gj new phantom grp.

I knew Centropy would get propered as soon as i seen 10 mins of their other copy - just wondered what grp would do it ... didnt think someone would have to change their name.

As far as i can see - Centropy's is nuked for bad.ar & tilt ... get proper.

ill rate when i watch the complete copy ...

I seen alot of sites nuke this release for reason not needed but i think the siteops are either blind or scared of nuking a CTP release. By watching the sample of SG18 and CTP, i said SG18 comes out ahead

After Skimming through the CDs come to this:

When the proper opens it has a minor tilt to it and the opening subs are cropped a bit (same as centropys) where the first & last words of the sentances are cut off. Same Source? i think so .... but thats up to you guys to decide. I dont think the angle is quite as bad in the proper and the colors are better. Both sound the same , excellent. So comes to this:

Centropy = 3 CD , major angle/tilt , bad ar, subs a bit cut off , sounds excellent.
SG18 = 2 CD , not as big of an angle/tilt but still there , ar looks ok, subs are a bit cut off, sounds excellent, colors were better, more darker then Centropy's copy.

My choice im gonna go with the SG18 PROPER as the angle on Ctp's was super bad and 3CDs bleh.

For those who said damn 2 cd they must have cut out some footage:

Centropy's Copy:

CD1 = 49:14
CD2 = 49:54
CD3 = 28:02
= 2 hours 7 mins 10 seconds

SG18's Copy:

CD1 = 1:04:30
CD2 = 1:02:58 (missing credits)
= 2 hours 7 mins 28 seconds

Oh ya , just wanted to add - yes a PROPER was needed & delievered. Wasnt a HUGE difference but still better. For all the peeps who didnt think their Centropy could be nuked or propered - it just happened.

wierd, just looks like CTP's rls...but with right AR....oh well..i didnt grab this, just though i'd comment on that since people nuked it for not needed.

it does look very similar but this is a slightly better release, and yeah i have to agree nukers are afraid of nuking centropy..

Interestling release but appears to be a re-encode or from the same source as ctp. Colors are the Same. Funny thing is CTP cd2 has a different AR then the other cd's (prolly an encoding error), and this relase has the same "encoding errors" in the same time frames as the CD2. Same missing subs and such too. Just straitened out picture.

only better thing about this release is someone used a -2+ axis to fix the issue with the tilt. Re-encode? Maybe, same source? most likely.

Good Copy for both releases.

props to ctp for the first outing.

Blue Neo You took the words right out of my mouth.. The ctp rls was indeed NUKED and needed to be PROPERED. For both titlted Video and cut off subs, and some AR problems throughout the film..Overall this release is only a minor improvement of a Sub Par film.. i haven't been able to stay awake till the end.. Definitely for the history buffs out there
So props to CTP for 1st rls, and props to SG18 for having the ballz to PROPER a CTP rls>LOL) Enjoy the Game!!!!


7.5/8/6 So Far, its just not drawing me in sorry

After taking all day to watch this movie (watch 10 mins , chat on IRC , watch 10 mins , chat on IRC) .... boring movie .

This is 100% either Same source as Centropy or a re encode.

Halfway through CD1 of this copy (where Centropys CD1 > CD2 stops & starts) this copy skips for a second and the AR changes , goes from small heads to big heads. Hard to tell if they used own source or re encode so as in my opinion im still sticking with SG18's copy.

Props to Centropy for releasing first. Props to SG18 for encoding it how it should have been done in the first place.

Is it just me or parts: sg18-alamo2.part25.rar and: sg18-alamo2.part40.rar from second CD are missing? Am I the only one around here hwo get it that way? Does some body else noticed that?

Compared to TCR's TS release quality, this is shite! Come on people, this overall is a 6 at best! TS does not have to be this bad!
