question about dvd+r media
how compatable is dvd+r compared to dvd-r ,my multiformat dvd burner seems faulty so i'm forced to put the dvd+rw back in that came with my new pc. do they play on ps2 i did post a guide i found on vcdhelp.com but cannot find it now.can i copy a film straight from dvd-r to hdd then write straight to dvd+r ??
There is a whole comparison chart for +/- media i've seen floating around and to be honest there wasn't that much in it! I know the big corps like MS and such all jumped on the + media band wagon early on!
As for the copying you could use dvd decrypter to make an image then burn it back. As far as the software goes it doesn't care if it's +/- media just that you've got the correct h/w to read/write!
Hope this helps in some way or another!

Well the PS2 is sort of a tricky thing, it's sorta like this:
V1-V6 Only play DVD-R
V7-V8 Play DVD-R and DVD+R
V9-V10 Play DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW.
Check here to see which version you have.
thanks for the help lads i did post a comparision chart i got off vcdhelp.com but like i said cannot find it.gotta buy some plus media now.but i can use my -media in my dvd recorder.
