I wouldn't expect this poor of quality from TCF. Lacks color.. greatly. The sound is alright, but definitely not one of TCF's finest.

A bit better but not by much. Framrate is screwed at a low 23.97 fps , Colors are washed, Sound has a buzz to it when turned up. Watchable but not "great". Personally not in a rush to see this movie so gonna wait for a PROPER or a Screener.

As a TS:
5/6/?

I have been waiting to see this and didn't want to try sws... maybe ftf.. but I never like sws I have managed ftf versiond though.... but this version I was hoping better but god I hope for a Proper or another release in a few days or I'll hit this one.

7.5/7/X

a bit of a let down with this release from a group rated so high up the ranks. still, beggers can't be choosers.

anyone know of a good site with an indepth tutorial on how to re-encode from Pal 23.97 fps, to NTSC 29.97 fps?

I have TMPGEnc Plus Ver.2.58.44.152, and I think it's supposed to do it but they really don't give good directions on how to use their products and i'm not that experienced with it... but a fassssst learner :-)

personally, i think this is a LOT better than the sws release. muted colors, a tad dark, but the frame rate is fine. i hope tcf does more svcd ts's, personally. 7/7/?

Dont mean to be funny, but 23.97 is NTSC...... also if you put "23.97 fps" in google the first dam link is a tutorial on how to encode from 23.97 fps to 29.97 in tmpeg, all be it with an avi, but the principle is the same and the magic 3:2 pulldown setting is shown.

Anyhow back to quality, looks pretty poor, for a film ill prolly only half watch one night pissed. so will do.

6.5/7/?
colours not that bad, not with beer goggles anyhow

A bit better than sWs' release but not much. Colors are a bit washed and sound does have a buzz to it. I guess this could be rated watchable. Haven't seen the movie yet as I'm not in a hurry to see this, low expectations, you see?

Posted by keepitreal on 04-20-2004 05:44 PM:

thank you tcf very good work i give it a 7.7.6
i watched the whole think not just making fake comments

Posted by bob0r on 04-20-2004 09:59 PM:

Noone seems to have downloaded the sWs, but as i posted in there, it is only LEFT audio channel! only the sample is good.

As for TCF, video 6 audio 5, could have been better, but the good TSes will come in june or so, or a screener...

actually the last time I checked 23.97 is PAL & 29.97 is NTSC, so the question is valid, although it should have been asked on the newbie forum ... if you google 23.97 it shows as PAL, not NTSC, but think what you will ...

good quality, shitty movie ...

7/7.5/2 ... huge let down!

23.97fps = Film

25fps = PAL

29.97fps = NTSC
