Just this minuet i have got hold of this release and what can i say were being spoild on this dvdr release.
The subs come on how they should just like replicas r1 release. Although the video is at a low bit rate the 7 passes does this justice and it looks perfect. The audio is just what we wanted... the sword fight with it all nicely uncut and dts sound just makes the film oh so much better. Just what i want to watch before i see vol 2
Thanks for the comment lax01
Now I would just like to know if your a cracker cause I already knew that what I wanted to know was if this release has forced subs.
Clearly you didn't understand the meaning to my question

playstationer this release does have forced subs during the japenase parts, it will be just like watching the replica cut r1 release but with all the gore
Covers are a nice addition too, I wish more groups did that.

Thanks again Uncle Cracker for your stupid ass remark.

Just wanted to clarify the quality. How does it look compared to the Replica (untouched video I think) and the TWCISO releases? It just seems the bitrate is rather low on it and I allready fixed the subs on my TWCISO version. Though the DTS is an enticing point in and of itself, but it becomes pointless if I have to sacrifice in the video too much. Thanks for any replies and opinions on the quality.
With 7 passes, how much of a percentage does that mean the video's quality been reduced?
Great job guys (the extra sub work and DTS is most appreciated) but now I just have one last request..... Someone please recompile this release with the english menus from the Replica R1 release and we will have us a perfectly bastardized movie for the average American idiot
I dont expect to see a release like that unless I do it myself I guess. Heres to hoping though.
So Fresh & So Clean
Excellent work on this one XPD! It took a few rls's and a ppf but we've finally got this fine movie R2 w/ alien subs & DTS to boot. The the sound during the fight scenes is excellent. DTS makes this rls a must for anyone with the capability. safri_duo_nuter already mentioned the low bitrate (3560avg.) but the 7 passes make up for it although I wouldnt call it perfect... if ya want perfect buy ;þ
P.S. playstationer please try and be a little less ignorant and take the time to read the nfo or look up words you dont understand (Alien Subs). I know first post is exciting for ya but reading the nfo might & in this case would have answered your question.

Mystic, if you read any of the US newspapers (which I know you don't) QT said he's going to bring out 6 versions of the disc here and one will be uncut and un-rated...so EVENTUALLy, the US will get the UNCUT disc, but I wouldn't expect it before Christmas...and definitely not before Volume 2 comes out on DVD...

I just check out the sample of the xpd version of KB DTS Uncut DVDR and it looks identical to the TWCISO version. Pretty sweet considering the bitrate of XPD's version is averaged @ 3560 and the TWCISO is rated @ 4500.
