What will become of this site?
Just wondering... What will become of this site if more and more groups request that their releases not be mentioned here. Won't this site die off when and if the majority of the release groups request not to be publicized here? There seems to be less and less releases discussed here now since the exclusion policy was addopted. Isn't this policy of respecting a group's request to not be mentioned here going to spell the demise of the site? I appologize for my ignorance but I just don't get it. Soon, if the trend continues, there may be nothing pertaining to new releases allowed to be discussed here.
For whatever it's worth to you, I agree completely. I've suggested that we continue to post the release but not allow a discussion thread to be made automatically about it. That's (apparently) what some groups get miffed about....the discussion, not the actual posting of the release.
That being said, no one really listens to anything that I say or suggest. I'm sort of like the Rodney Dangerfield of this place.

Kal I agree with you entirely, when groups first started requesting not to be listed, I thought why not list them, but just not open a forum thread for them, that way there wouldn't be any people bashing a release entirely on the release group.
i agree also...i find myself visiting this site much less often now, and instead going to other places to see what's out there.
it can't be very nice for release groups who take the risks to bring releases to have their work riddiculed when it is too much for most people to do it them selves so they download(for free at much less risk) every release deserves some respect for effort even if it is the shittiest out of a dozen other releases.at least they tried.i could understand people being miffed if they paid for them.however there are enough samples etc about to judge the quality of most releases before you spend hours on downloads.
people tend to download there releases from there favorite groups .if a release is shitty no one forced you to download it.or go take your own cam in and lets see your efforts? why not restrict posts concernig group releases to say nominees who are a bit more sensible.as too many newbies slag groups off.
i could care less if there was even a comments section for people to rate...all i want is a list of stuff that's out there.....i use newsgroups to get my movies, and checking those take forever
Hi,
You can just start moderating the forums or something....
ALL that shd be in teh forum thread shd be Quality, if audio is out of sync ? wether movie is complete....ie no endings cut, and stuff....no trolling...ban trolls and delete their threads....but if u stop posting the releases what site do u have ?
All i do is check jpg....see what relases is out....choose bestone....your site is gonna go down the drain if u dont continue to old self....i am coming here less and less now...
can u guys tell me of a site similar to what vcdquality was....
thanks

quote:The irony is that the releases are *still* being discussed, and bashed, in the VCD Releases section. That's the opposite of what you've suggested, and what the groups are trying to accomplish. Has anyone asked these groups exactly WHY they don't want their releases listed?
