Man... This was original. Credits were pretty much completely cut (you won't catch me crying over this) just so they can fit the movie. Oh, and a 4:3 letterbox trailer for a coming to DVD movie called the Big Bounce?! Well, granted that even without the menu and the trailer (combined 70 megs), it wouldn't bring the credits back. So all this aside, I think this was a GREAT idea. If I want to see who made this movie, I'll go to IMDb.

However, if anyone actually cared for all the people mentioned in the credits that made this movie, we wouldn't have copied it.

Video 10/10 - Nice print! Plus another untouched video release!! Nice job. Things are starting to look up from that last bad batch of releases.

DVD-R 10/10 - Very impressed. I am guilty of cutting credits on my own rips sometimes too (Out of Time was my first actually)... It is a pretty bold move to release something without credits IMO. But I am very happy that groups realize that people don't actually watch credits (at least I don't). So missing a scrolling marquee of people's names that worked long hard days on this movie, isn't too hard to let go of. The heart lies within the first 1hr 45mins of this movie, not the last 6 mins.

Man! Replying to my own post! That's pretty lame

Just wanted to clear this line up. If it wasn't for those people in the credits though, this movie wouldn't have existed. So support as often as you can for the movies that you liked.

Clarification #2: This movie is not going to win my support of buying. It saved me $5 to rent it, that's about it. It was OK, but Val Kilmer just leaves an awful taste of metal in my mouth when I see him act. Not a bad movie though, but far from great.

However, don't take my word for it, watch it for yourself.

In conclusion, you've got to hand it to the crews and actors that made this movie. Working long hard hours on a sub par movie hoping that one day a check will come in the mail to reward their dedication to the film so they can afford feed their children and support their coke addictions. j/k

Point#1: I think it's totally gay to kill credits... This isn't no TS, and if I need to know who played in the movie or who played a certain song in the first I shouldn't have to resort to wasting more time to search for it online.

Point#2: Only reason most groups keep opening trailers is because they don't know how to get rid of them. So they resort to keeping them and getting rid of other things like movie credits.

Point#3: This movie sucks... don't even know why I posted.

Later..

I think you're taking this pretty hard.

The trailer was 18 megs on the DVD. The credits would have been around 200 megs. I do agree that most groups suck at IFO editing and that they don't know how to remove trailers, which is retarded personally. But in this case, cutting the trailer would have done jack all.

But what it comes down to is:

Re-encode the movie to degrade the quality of the whole film so you won't have to go onto Amazon to look for the name of a song in the soundtrack, OR, nuke the credits and take the whole minute to find the song somewhere on the net.

Thankfully this is a rare event that the movie is just a TOUCH too big for a DVD-R...

I guess each to his own on this one.

LOL, that article way funny. What a retard... hehe

A "Last but not Least" comment for ya is....

At this rate soon pre groups will be releasing 2disc untouched video. (ie: CTP with Lord of the Rings: ROTK), CTP seems to be the pioneer of doing less work for more glory. Started way before DVDRs with 1pass 3Disc SVCDs... History repeats itself. I hope you know what your wishing for...

I agree with the laziness for sure! The reason I did Out of Time with 50% credits missing was because it was due back at Blockbuster and I didn't want to be bothered encoding it.

I really hope that 2 disc DVD-Rs do NOT happen because then I can do that myself in 20 mins with the same results. That would really take away the glory of the scene too!

I'll end this with, lets just hope for dual layer burners REAL soon. These 4.38 gig discs are really getting me depressed I'm going to end up like the kid in that article the way things are going...
