Underworld *UNRATED* *NTSC* - DVDRIP - aNBc
I dunno why I'm posting
I saw the movie in the theater last summer and didn't like it, but I have this strange faith that the *unrated* will be better.
I'll start with nice job aNBc! Only checked out first 15 mins so far, but it was all I needed to see to make a pretty good judgement. Very happy that they decided to keep just the movie (especially as it looks like all the extras were on the second disc anyways... Which was ironically released by a different group).
Now for video talk...
(4040kbit/sec video + 448kbit/sec audio)*(134*60)/8 = 4,510,440kb out of a possible 4,585,000kb (before MUXing) on the disc. Rest was the menu. Talk about nice and packed.
Although the bitrate is as high as possible and the DVD-R is jam packed with pretty much JUST the movie, I did notice the video was not too great. Dark movies always face the problem of artifacting, this was no exception. However, as good as you'll get once again, unless you buy it.
VIDEO 8/10 - As good as you'll get on a DVD-R, but still has some issues in a couple of dark scenes on the big screen. You can minimize the problem by lowering your contrast (it made it look more like film noise than a problem), but that is not really a good solution. If you like the movie enough that this bothers you, buy it
DVD-R 10/10 - aNBc did the best possible job keeping this release in top shape. The extras on a second DVD-R is a nice touch also (released today by BHP).
Movie */10 - Haven't watch this version. But I imagine it won't be TOO different.
Excellent Film
Ya this is a 2 Disc Set... Only thing really at loss is the outtakes on Disc1, dunno why the movie company didnt put those on Disc2. Retarded... If I were to buy this, I would want just the movie on Disc1 (give or take a trailer) and the rest on Disc2...
Oh well, havent watched yet... looks good to me...
Well this has to be better than centropys shite release, theres was the cut version and clocked in at approx 3100 kbps, so this one should look quite nice compared to that.
