Heh..great movie, great rip...but god damn we need the special features, or atleast the deleted scenes.

Nice release! This of course is my favorite kind of release. Movie and menu only, with the added bonus of untouched video.

Unfortuantely the extras had to go, but you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Good release. But for you guys out there that want the extras, you will be disappointed as this release is bare bones. But if you are a true fan of the movie, you'll buy it, or at very least rent it and watch the extras.

Video 10/10 - Good video and of course it is untouched, so I am very happy. Can't get better than this (at least not until HD-DVD or Blu-Ray )

DVD-R 10/10 - The DVD is packed with just the movie. Very very nice stuff. If there was anything else, then we'd need to downsample the movie, and that is a no-no IMO

hehe... Still one of the better movies coming out as of late. Been a real drought lately in quality flicks.

If the audio and video are untouched, why does it get 9's ? some people confuse me :\

personally i would lower the movie bitrate a little quality would still be beyond perfect and keep the extras and shit for the people that like it..

but thats just my humble opinion

Menu

What is the point of the menu if you’re not going to keep any extras? A menu is so you can scene select and extras. Hell might as well just do movie only at that point.....

Just a thought.....

Scene rules say the menu must be kept and personly i like the menu whether or not there are extras on the release

lol!! i agree...some people need to think and read before posting

ok my first post so gonna be kinda long...

first off i'd like to say that i agree with the people who like seeing extras in these releases, but at the same time i can relate to people like porco556 who like movie only rips.

i TOTALLY agree that trailers are a waste of space (apple.com/trailers is the place to go if u want to see them), but extras such as deleted scenes are sometimes fun to watch and i like having them. when i do my own backups, what i do is i lower the quality on my extras as much as i can to save quality on the main movie while at the same time keeping the extras in there. basically, i just like having the extra features there even if their quality isn't 100% because the fact remains...i'm probably only going to watch them once whereas i may watch the movie several times if it's a good one.

anyway...just my opinion. it's kind of hard to say whether movie only or movie and extras is the best way to go because everyone has their own preferences.

all of that being said...i actually have not seen this particular release so i cannot give it a rating. i'm going to either wait for a release with the special features or i'm going to buy it.

If you like a movie, buy it.

Don't wait too long though. Most groups do not post a second release unless there is something wrong with the original release. So since this is already released, slim chance that you'll see another release with extras. But not impossible either (most recent example I can think of is that aNBc released Bad Santa without extras after Replica released it with extras... But attached to that was the "ProCoder" debate)...

We'll all be laughing at our posts in this forum when dual-layer burners become more popular ($199USD for the Sony... Not too bad!) and nothing has to get cut or downsampled.

is it just me or does the movie end in a middle of a scene (movie could end there) with no end credits?

Mine works fine... This could be a DVD Player issue... What player you got (age and model)... But strange since the menu and video is untouched (well, one menu button removed)

Has anyone experienced any problems burning this release? Both with DVDecryptor and Alcohol 120% this image freezes then coasts. All other releases seem to be fine so im wondering if anyone else experienced this.

In reply to my own post, the ISO/UDF mode on CloneDVD did work. Just use * for file type then select the image. Worth a try if anyone had any similar problems.
