Damn good quality TC, besides the nasty sidecrop.

Good audio, good video. Shame it got sheepnuked really, even when MPT declared the Retail thing in the nfo.

8/10

The only thing that could make this release worth a download over VideoCD is whether the subtitles are in english. The mono sound and sidebar make this release nice but a distant second to Videocd(who seem to have issues with leaving the credits in).

I'm not sure lately what the big issue has been about the credits. As long as you see the credits start, that should be sufficient. I mean if you leave all the credits, then you have ppl calling your group credit whores for making the release bigger, but if you cut the credits, then you have groups bitching and always asking if the ending is missing. I think VideoCD cuts the credits because almost always they are in French

My opinion, this release isn't bad, a good R6 rip. Thanks MPT

credits are in french....?

you mean they change all the actors names etc to french names...?

unless theres extra footage like in shrek 2 during the credits i see no need for them

This is a good release and all..kickass picture/sound (comparing this to recent telecines)..but i think i will pick up the dvdr of it, which doesn't have that annoying ass sidebar on the left.

9/9/5

They listed themselves under "greets" in the NFO. Sad.

I agree. But Van Helsing, Shrek2, and The Day After Tomorrow show that they can cut a little too deep. Just let us know it is the end of the movie. I don't want to gues is it the end.

The colors are awesome. Sound is mono, but who cares. It's not like TS's are any better. Why the hell is it nuked?

I think VideoCD cuts the credits/ending because the camera operator turns off the camera before all the people get up & see what he's doing.

ok from full release...this is really nice. Looks great on the t.v.
but is it just me or are the subs missing on a few scenes that were included in the videocd release. Even if they were in french. They are none existant in this telecine. I'd have to watch again to be sure...overall besides the cropping on the left side. This is good..

9/10/8 Movie was good I like Jackie Chan, bad and dumb role for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

And just for the record the sound is not in mono its in perfect stereo. check your cpu speakers.because sounds good to me out of right and left. and even better on the television.

exactly, it has nothing to do about the "issue" of credits, its about saving their asses. in every single movie theatre, as soon as the credits start rolling the lights go on and half the thatre starts walking out. if you had a camera under your coat would want to keep it rolling while all that was happening? i dont think so.

I watched the sample on my TV and the sidebar went away... strange, this rls looks great though but the sound is mono as someone mentioned earlier(wish they would have sourced that from DTS but whatever) .. i am kicking myself in the ass for downloading the videocd.. but I would not have expected TC this early.

While I'd never "kick myself" for downloading a VideoCD release, I left my jaw on the floor testing this puppy. From mediocre vcd ts's.... to THIS??!! Whatever drug MPT has discovered, sign me up for a coupla ounces. Unbelievable job, fellas. What is this, Monday?? Even the sound was loud and sharp. (10/10/?). And a bunch o' thanks.

That's what I love about the scene, always another surprise in our Christmas stockings...

Extremely nice job MPT. This is better than the VideoCD release. Sound is crisp and the video is very nice as well, no color fading. Sorry but this is just better. I still don't care much for the movie though. A big thumbs up on this one MPT

Audio 9
Video 9
Movie 6

Here is a tip you can use to impress your friends. Just because sound comes out of two speakers does not make it stereo. Unless they have a different audio source than the one released in the sample there is no doubt it is mono. And as far as using computer speakers i use stereo headphones

Leave that for the kids that post in here ok. My remark was just stating it sounds and plays fine. Just so people won't avoid getting this, thinking it only plays on one side, which is usually what mono is suggesting..

Then maybe you should have said that instead of trying to say something was wrong with my speakers. Practice what you preach. It is not in stereo and i wish you would quit tryin to mislead people into thinking it is. It has sound going into both speakers but it is not stereo. Quit tryin to save face and admit you were wrong and move on.
