This is actually pretty nice, although i've seen the movie 3 times, and it kinda sucks, so i won't be picking this up..People are telling me this is out of sync, but from what i've looked at, it isn't..

9/9/6

SWEET SWEET SWEET

just watched sample....

Video: 9.5

for a TC this is about as good as it gets (still the best TC in my opinion is T3). i take off the .5 because i have seen better TC's.

Audio: 10

can't go wrong with DD 5.1 on a TC DVDR. amazing. the sample IS out of sync but i'm gonna trust you guys that the rls itself isn't and grab it.

Movie: n/a

i had been waiting and waiting for the movie's rls and when it did i grabbed the TC SVCD and watched the first disc of 3 but couldn't watch anymore because of the poor quality. it was watchable, sure, but i wanted a virtually flawless rls of this movie before i watched it and now i'm very glad i waited.

Nice release and niceeeee menu!!!

Very nice release from HLS.

Watched the sample and video and audio both spot on apart from the sync issue. Can anyone confirm that it's in sync on the actual dvdr?

Anyway - 9/9/7 (movie ain't all that bad, but it's nowhere near as good as the hype)

Posted by lax01 on 06-23-2004 02:26 PM:

is the entire release out-of-sync, can anyone confirm?

And the sample IS IN FACT out-of-sync...if you can't see it, you're blind

Video is decent (8) - semi-blocky and slightly dark
Audio is alright (6) - out-of-sync (until otherwise notified)
Movie is ?

just scanned through the dvdr and seems fine no sync issues i could see.

Posted by fortuyn on 06-23-2004 03:55 PM:

me either all IN synch!

Posted by Panthera37Male on 06-23-2004 05:14 PM:

i just scanned it for a few with my mom and she says as i can sort of say it is out of sync just a tiny bit, u would have to be right up on the screen to really notice it though, and only by a half a sec is it

but still alot better then the other releases of it

Posted by Air1 on 06-23-2004 05:43 PM:

yep like i had originally confirmed, it's just the sample that's out of sync.

the rls isn't, though.

this is the best TC dvdr i've ever seen, with the dd 5.1 and menu and all. sweet.

Posted by thredworm on 06-23-2004 08:46 PM:

Ok, I just burned this and it does go out of sync about halfway through and remains out of sync for the rest of the film, audio coming around half a sec before the video.

A little annoying, but the quality overall is very, very good on a standalone.

Posted by DiNNERPLATE on 06-23-2004 10:19 PM:

its outta sync....so stop talking outta your a$$. the video is great to bad it IS outta sync.

Posted by Behappy on 06-24-2004 12:23 AM:

Install some codecs and its not OUTTA SYNCH potsmoker!

Posted by Enzomatrx on 06-24-2004 01:42 AM:

hmm, out of sync partially through. Well good thing i'm just streaming this to the xbox to watch it (not worth burning to a DVD until real DVD release... and that's a stretch with this boring movie).
XBMP lets you adjust the audio delay, so technically the release is flawed with sync issues, but if you just want to watch it and delete it you can use the XBox.

So via normal DVD Player method:
9/[9|3]/3 (9 for the actual quality of the sound, 3 for the sync issues)

Via non-standard XBMP streaming:
9/9/3

Posted by fortuyn on 06-24-2004 01:57 AM:

no worth burning on DVD? is it no worth 45 eurocents??

Posted by jrw on 06-24-2004 02:44 AM:

Yep its doable on Xbox because of the ability to adjust sync on the fly , but the bottom line: this release IS slightly out of sync and Im reffering to the movie itself not the sample. Other than this the audio and video quality are both very good.

9/9/?

Sync problems aside, is anyone actually getting a stereo feed even tho it shows up 5.1? I am either suffering from audio depth deprivation or I swear everything is centrally focused. Is this my delusion, or does anyone else share in this opinion?
