not bad at all. video is better then videoCD's rls but not that much. little more bright and a little more color but tthats about it. sounds good nothing to complain about. 3cd could have fit onto 2 but as the nfo states its a quality thing!!!

8/8/9

7/7/8

Posted by crapper on 07-19-2004 04:47 PM:

humm not that amazing for a tc.. i'd give it an 8 not much better then the videocd ts

can anyone confirm if this is the same source as the german tc..

cuase i got the feelin this its the same with videocd sound

but i could be wrong..

as for this release thnxxxx TC's are always nice

and dont forget to release the dvdr

Posted by akasmiler on 07-19-2004 04:48 PM:

i have both now - and i have to say the 3cd's slighlty does pip the 2cd vcd rls version

it is good but i remember at the time of the vcd rls - someone said that depending on the length of a film is how many disks it should be put onto - and think i'm correct in thinking that 3 disks was the best option for the length of this film.

9/9/9 for this rls
but stick with vcd's if you already have that

Hi,

Just got done comparing both samples light and dark of both groups.

Yes, the Telecine, of course is better, however I dont think that it's warrant enough for people to download the telecine version. The Videocd version will hold off people until a dvd rip. Unless youre annoyed with the person sitting down in the VideoCD release. The dark scene of the TC is lighter and better then the videocd version.

The Telecine version look like it was recorded to a VHS tape first then transferred and encoded. It has similar picture quality of a VHS Rip.

Audio on both was great,

I would rate the Telecine 8 / 10 / 9

I waited a bit better...

But anyway 7/9/3

Gonna keep VideCD's rel and wait the DVDr.

maybe???
who knows?
i think there`s only one tc out and this source get`s reencoded by some other groups.
the quality is for an tc not quite good, but better than nothin`

7/9/8

Average TC better than VCD 3 cd internal but not by enough to justify another download.

Does have a VHS feel to it as already commented.

WTF 4 samples in a 60 meg download a bit overkill really.

nice job 8/8/9 but a little late

Posted by weedmonsta on 07-19-2004 05:42 PM:

Should have been released *INTERNAL* as the is no real need for it ( i know its a TC but the qulaity as the above has said is not really up to par)

7.9.9

Still its a TC and the pic is better than the videoCD i think that this release is great maybe wel see it on dvdr soon

8.5/9/10

Posted by pezley on 07-19-2004 05:50 PM:

Well i for one think its a perfectly justified release.

Not much better quality ? it's not a DVD no, get over it but compared to VideoCD's ts.... No cropping... correct aspect ratio, better colors.... more visible in the dark scenes......

i realy dotn understand peoples reason why this should of been internal. is it just so you can be selfish and hope for a better TC which will now likely internal and you may not be able to get ?

anyways.. isnt the best TC but its fine ... as good as any Screener and for something this early you cant argue with that..

7 ( slightly blurred ) / 10 / 8

Not *that* good for a TC, I guess I will stick with the VideoCD rlz..

7/9/10

if you compair EMPiRE's TC vs ALLiANCE TC you will notice a resemblence. More then likley same source and re-encode of SVCD > SVCD would be the cause of pixelation, the colors are much better then VideoCD's TS, also has more picture then VideoCD's TS. ALLiANCE more then likley had permission to use their source , they been around along time and wouldnt just use it and risk getting nuked i wouldnt think. Anyway as said slight pixelation on standalone , colors are better, shows more screen, birate seemed a bit high ... overall nice copy, but not usual TC quality.

7/8/5

btw as vegasguy said - The Telecine version look like it was recorded to a VHS tape first then transferred and encoded. It has similar picture quality of a VHS Rip. (i thought the exact same thing) ... but this is a true TC in CD1 you can see the cig burn marks on picture time and time again.

Have you ever seen TCF's VCD screener from late 2002-2003 they kicked the shit out of this quality wise and they were VHS-SVHS screener's.

I've seen all 3 releases and this is my comparison:

SpiderMan.2.SVCD.TELESYNC-VideoCD
good first release, tilted, washed colors, PAL, and excellent audio (oh yeah, and squares poping up everywhere)

Spider.Man.2.TC.Line.Dubbed.German.SVCD-EMPiRE
german cam audio, rendered 16:9, PAL, and has an encoder screen at the beginning of the movie (dunno exactly what that was)

Spiderman.2.TELECINE.SVCD-ALLiANCE
great colors, good audio, NTSC, and definatly the best release out. No flaws in the video I see. Has complete begining and all credits. Glad it wasn't internal.
