I haven't seen or found the release yet but it could have 2 channel ac3 audio at 192kbps and still be under 700MB.

The Quality looks great but they didnt add the english subs into the movie already they gave them to you to put in, so unfortunatly i dont know how to insert Subs into avi , so if anyone can shed some light on what program to use please let me know

If you play your movies with mplayer you just specify -sub <file> on the command line. You can also specify about 20 other parameters affecting the appearance of the subs, and you can also adjust sub position, size, delay, etc. while playing.

I believe that if the movie file and the subtitle file have the same name (minus the extension, obviously), then mplayer will add the subs even if you don't tell it to explicitly.

why aren't the subs in English?

Posted by elvismay on 08-25-2004 02:34 PM:

Talking

I thought this release rocked :P . Didnt get it til the movie came out though . Anyway this is great, because I was able to have the movie without the damn subtitles just as Gibson had intended. Now its really like your in a time machine watching things as they happend. Its hard to imagine yourself there while reading the words.

Posted by HuFFKING on 08-30-2004 10:32 PM:

I got the movie in mpg format and realised it doesnt have the subs so now i have to get the .tar to get the subs added on. No point in watching the movie if you have no idea what is going on.

Are you on crack? the AR was fine, it's the FS (Full Screen) retail Version, Not the WS (WideScreen) and the AR is fine, on it... so I dunno what you're complaining about
