Great rip & all, but this one deserves a DVDR! I didn't care for this as much as the first, but i'll end up getting it sooner or later just so i can add it to my collection

Is it just me or are the subs freaking hard to see? They are thin white outlines with black instead instead of the other way around, white font with black outline. Video is perfect, one of the better dvdrip encodes i've seen, audio is perfect naturally. but I have to give it a 9/10/6 because of the subs.

yeah the subs are hard to see, and i noticed some serious glitchin when madsen shoots uma on cd1, and when uma is in the coffin in cd2, dunno if its just mine but it only lasted a few seconds, kinda annoyin.

Every day I ask myself why?
So much pain pouring
from inside
Above me I feel the spirit fly

CD1:
-------
Well I watched about 3 or 4 minutes before he shoots her and 4 minutes afterward and saw no glitches. So maybe it's just your copy or maybe I am just watching the wrong part. Does it glitch up right when he shoots her? Because there is def. no glitch when he shoots her for me.

CD2:
-------
Watched the entire coffin sequence. Started when it showed the tombstone right after the Pai Mei sequence, up until uma went into the diner and asked for water. No glitches whatsoever.

There must be something wrong with your copy, cause the release is fine in those two parts you mentioned.

However, the subs are definitely fucked like last time :/ I figured they would have learned from their mistake.

Overall the vid and pic are top notch! Good job Chakra, shame about the subs :/

Watched it all the way through last night on my TV and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this release. It's as perfect as an svcd dvdrip can get. No glitches or any flaws at all.

The subs are still easily read even with the shadowed look. It's obvious they look that way bec they had to use captioned subs because on the dvd it's not hard coded onto the screen like it was in the theater. This release is pretty much the same quality as vol. 1 Chakra dvdrip was.... maybe even a little better.

Yeah the subs are prertty easy to read, and I understand they are not hardcoded, but they could look better. It all depends on how you encode it. For example the subs in once upon a time in mexico are the caption type, and they are not shadowed.

I have encoded many anime eps, and when you are making the subs you have to select how they look. They could have made them look correct if they had taken the time to look at it.

nice rls
as mentioned above, 1st was better, but if they woulda just made one long movie, that would have been best imo
9/9/6

Video 9
Audio 9
Movie 8

The usual good standard from Chakra.

Subtitles are difficult to read due to the strange font they have used, but they are readable (just!)

i saw this in theatres, and i was almost let down by it, this, matrix revolutions (we all know sucked) and freddy vs jason (kick ass) were the 3 films in 1 year, which topped the record of 1 film in 5 years b4 that, who said copyright infringement aint good lol anyway 1st is way better, it ends the saga and all, but the lack of what the first side had, a shitload of action, to this one with minimal action, but more of a story, i think there was a happy medium if they woulda cut it right, oh well, this release tho is nice, been waiting for 1 that worked right or not cropped to hell, and sense the dvd scr and TC were fucked this makes me happy as for svcd dvd, u cant ask 4 much more, 9/9/6 and it wouldnt be a 6 if the first one wasnt there... more like a 7, but not the classic of the first

i liked this Rls. nice DVDrip and no problems at all. if you don't have one of the preivous rls then get this one if not stick with what you have@!!

i know it's an old thread, so this is for those who really care what i have to say. i was gonna post this awhile ago, but i never had the chance.

i think i know why the subtitles for chakra's kill bill releases are messed up. i decided to make my own rip, and, as the "n00b" i am, i decided to use DVD2SVCD. D2S has a subtitle feature on it, and with the default settings, it works 99.9% of the time. And as for the 00.1% of the time, you get something like what chakra gave us.

if you rented the dvd, you'll see that the subtitles have a slight dark-gray shadow, and the face is yellow. however, the default settings are set without taking into account that the subtitles MAY have the shadow.

using the default settings the first time around, i got exactly the same problem chakra had. it took me a couple tries to get the right coloring scheme for the subtitles, but i finally got the perfect settings for it.

so, i'm not accusing chakra of using a program like DVD2SVCD, but it's just a little suspicious.
