And it looks as though thev'e tried to convert it to PAL at the same time as the video is very jerky and frameless from the start

Getting back to the MAIN point at hand, this is a bad release. Worse than the re-encode of the SVCD to VCD. If HBO/FTF had any amount of brains, they would stop wasting their time releaseing bad crap or join with some1 who can actually get the job done.
