Didn't you think the MaVen release was of high quality? I thought it was fantastic, but only a bit bright.

Anyway this looks like it could be a tad grainy from pic, anyone confirm?

Cheers

that was Centropy's SVCD I think you mean. It was good but a little bright. As far as Telesync's go it was great.
This is the same source obviously as the TUN SVCD and is better than the Telesync.
As far as video goes, it is really nice. But it's the audio that really shines on this release. Everything is really great about how it sounds.

Of course I dunno technical stuff with 5.1, DTS, blah blah, since I just run it through the DVD player connected to the TV. No sound system here....

9/10/9 (I really found myself enjoying this movie each time I see it)

uhhh...maven? right. just cause maven puts out kickass ts's doesnt mean they are the only ts release group out there. make sure you know what youre talking about when comparing releases next time. and maybe next time you might want to download the sample other than just looking at the "pic". just cause you cant find the sample on kazaa, doesnt mean its not available. kthxbye.

It's ok, he registered on the forums only to make that one post.. typical idiot.

Needless to say, the quality and sound are quite good. This release definitely is worth it over CTP's if you want better sound and a slightly better picture.

Posted by evilsatan on 08-24-2004 11:06 AM:

I registered on the forums so I could reply to some of the posts I saw. I don't get the sample as I am on a 56k and unlike a lot of the users on here I actually buy the DVD (Don't know why as the money doesn't go to the groups who really deserve it).

I would appreciate it if you didn't call me a idiot purely because it's my first post, and I'm sorry if I got the release group the wrong way around.

well welcome to the board. you may leave now. if you are "unable" to download the sample then there is no room for you here. and alot of the people actually do buy dvds...myself included, so stfu about that. you stay here and keep making these posts you will get flamed until you either leave or get banned.

wow, hmm getting it right know. This fits on a DVD right?

Posted by Enzomatrx on 08-25-2004 01:55 AM:

As a followup, it would have been nice if Meteor had perhaps put some real chapter stops in, instead of just doing one every 5 minutes. A little menu woulda been creative... but I'm just spoiled from the Harry Potter 3 TC.DVD I guess.

Still the best release out there, video is excellent, sound is amazing. vote stays same, just wish it was better than "every 5 minutes chapter mark"... that screams 'automated program'.

The nfo file says AC3......I thought that was the same as 5.1 sound but unfortunately no 5.1 sound on this release.
Still a great release

Damn, are you sure, a bit shit if it is, im just about done getting this, strange how no-one mentioned it till now.
How many people whove rated this actually have it if they havent noticed that.

Is it 2.0 then? If it is thats strange, as TC's usually have 5.1, its DVD Screeners that have 2.0, were would the 2.0 soundtrack come from.

Posted by Adam17 on 08-26-2004 07:38 PM:

Yep definatly 2.0, its just coming through the front left and front right speaker.

Oh well nevermind

Great release, shame audio not 5.1

Hope to see more TC to dvdr as dvdrs are dirt cheap now (20p UK) and you dont have to swap the disc while watching the movie

It's really not hard to make a SVCD or DiVX release into a DVD. It's as easy as using flask mpeg to join the mpeg's together and then DVD Author to create the DVD files.

Again, this is a nice release of I,Robot.. just wish it was 5.1

Whats that got to do with this release, theres no way this is from a divx or svcd source.

As for what your saying about SVCD on DVD, it is possible, but not all DVD players like it, its good for multiple movies and saving discs but youd be better using Tmpeg to join them.
And putting a Divx on DVD takes a lot more time and effort.

I like this release, very sharp and clear, shame about the sound, pity they couldn't get the same source as Centropy's TS, still good sound, but this film would be better in 5.1

Got this, put it in my standalone and it looks frikkin' great. Props to Meteor for a fine release. Judge the video from your computer screens if you want, it looks good, but it looks so much better on your tv set. Cool audio, not great but good.

Enjoyed the movie.
