Sample seems to be a bit messed up. Apart from that, nice video and audio.

anyone notice some interlacing like artifacts in this release? like at the beginning when the camera pans over the people waiting for the train. looks like a strange flickering of scanlines on the edges as the camera pans over the people and also notice some just before that scene as jim carey gets out of the car on the door edges.

I'm changing my original score, this release is definitely interlaced. You can see where there is what looks like ghosting when a person moves substantially from one frame to the next, if you pause the video, you'll see two of the person which is result of two different fields being merged together. Although why this happened doesn't make sense to me as the source is 24fps film, so I dont understand how it could end up like this.

and does this show up on a tv screen like that, or on a pc monitor?

this is again a cursed movie it seems, after the mislabelled TC now a bad dvdrip?

Changing my score.. noticed the interlacing on my TV.. going to change my score as well. It's fairly easy to spot it, as well.

Odd. I usually extract the mpeg out of the bin/cue and burn the mpeg.. normally always works. I try it here, and it starts messing up at the library scene.. I burned two or three times and tested it.. always messed up at the same part. I re-extracted and burned teh image of the bin/cue.. works fine.

I noticed it on my tv watching it on a standalone dvd player. Haven't tried it on the pc but assume it would look even worse.

I spot some interlacing. Doesn't look like every frame though. Looks like it needs to be IVTC.

Seems fine to me. And about the movie itself... probably the best film of the year.

Question about the quality?????

So how bad it the interlacing? Should I bother with the repack? Just wondering if this is totally watchable and burn it or forget it and get the repack?

Thanks

Chris

Video isn't the greatest. It looks like they went 1 pass on this one. Sound is good. Love the movie...
