Best way to encode/convert a Xvid 2 SVCD
i use DVD2SVCD and use the encoder TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 and about 6passes any of you know a better way or something i could add to make my converting better quality ? i think what im doing is as good as you can get it

use Cinema Craft Encoder with DVD2SVCD, it will give you much better quality than TMPGenc.
Or download the SVCD version.
I always rip the audio off 1st with goldwav. I hate ac3 sound. That takes 10 min max. then i encode video & mix in the wav. file at same time with tmpgenc. using *DvD Other*template.Gives as good a vcd as the xvid.& all on 1 disc.Total job done in 45-50 min good quality & will play on any standalone dvd player.lots of ppl i know have probs with svcd s . the only prob i have is why put it on 2 discs.

Well you guys stick to waisting 2 discs on your svcd.Ill stick to my 1 thx.If you dont think its as good a quality,try encoding a xvid to svcd & kvcd. see for your self from the same source file.Dif formats suit dif ppl.my m8 has a divx comp dvd player so he sticks with xvids & dont mess with them.Next player i buy will be xvid comp.

get DIKO it will convert it to svcd 480x480
and it will fit on 1 cdr. minimal quality loss
